met a funny bloke with a A45 AMG today
Well,i was out exhaust shopping today where i came across this reputable workshop over in Singapore.Hold and behold,there was a A45 parked there doing some dyno work.
I was driving my Black Series and the owner came forward and tell me.
'Hey mate my A45 pushes 500bhp' .
So i asked him what did he do,did he changed the turbos etc and his answer was no,
Just exhaust muffler and a tune.
He claimed that he can smoke my C63 Black Series.
After that,i just laughed and left the place.
What a joke
Without header swap,larger turbos etc and he boldly claimed that he can smoke my car.
It really brightens up my day.

Well he was on a dyno, what was he getting? I can't imagine he would be standing next to a dyno and outright lieing about his numbers.
If he does have 500 bhp that thing is a rocket with AWD and probably put a hurting on most of us from a launch. The new turbo engines can get crazy numbers from the tune alone. Whether or not it's healthy on the engine longterm is meant to be seen.
Ofc the black series is in another league as far as everything else, but don't discount a very booster new 45.

the 45AMG Motors will make about 450HP with a Downpipe & Tune.
Wouldn't be surprised at all if he could keep up in the mid-range. From about 60KM to about 140KM, the 45AMGs are very strong, with their turbo setup, it's near instant power like an N/A motor anyways.

i wouldnt say smoke a 63BS but those lil suckers can go considering its has exhaust mod and a tune. with the AWD and light chassis, it can fly. you should have stayed and checked the numbers from the dyno.

The new x45 AMG cars put out 385 hp and more torque than a C63BS in OEM trim. The motor can certainly be tuned to 500 hp (not without longevity issues mind you, but it can fairly easily), and when you take into account the ~600 lbs less weight of the A45 (and AWD and DCT to boot) over your C63BS - yeah, it will easily smoke you all right, both off the line and a roll.

I have a GLA45 as my winter car. Who knows if he was talking out of his *** but its true that it isnt difficult to get 400 wheel horse power out of that engine with a weistec downpipe and tune. I am planning to keep the warranty on mine intact since it's definitely no slouch stock but its crazy to think how much more room there is in that tiny engine. plus the dct it is equipped with is really fast and smooth also

im sorry tune and down pipe will not smoke this car I drove a cla45 obviously stock not impressed tune and down pipe will net under 400 wheel there is no smoking happening

sont guy in a cla45 tail gated me. then when we got to the stop light he got next to me. i revved on him. light turned green. i didnt go, he took off. wat a idiot

The 45 is one of the ugliest Mercedes creations to date.. Sorry I tried giving it a chance but it looks like a turtle and Extremely small. I don't care if it has 700 whp

I'm running almost stock except for a BMC air filter.
I outran a M5 (barely),are you sure a A45 will smoke me?
Even if it does,i still have to say the car is fugly.
Let's hope my Magnuson Supercharger will be here soon and i'll play with the bigger boys league,for now,i just enjoy my newly bought CLK DTM
