Anybody buy these? Quality?
The previous of the car I'm purchasing took the trunk emblems off (I like the emblems on there)... so I want to put them back on.
Anybody buy these emblems from ebay before? Quality/finish? Seems like a VERY cheap price for the "C63" and "AMG" emblems in gloss black.

Maybe there is a more quality product without going to the dealer?
Thank you for any feedback.

Thank you all. Unfortunately, the genius previous owner took off emblems and tossed them. Only star is left on trunk. I am not a fan of debadging.
Besides the dealer...any recommendations on where to buy new trunk emblems in gloss black?
Also....best way to align the emblems so not it's not off. Thank you

Can't comment on the aftermarket ones, but I'd personally see what a new set from the dealer would cost and have them painted. As for the alignment, that's relatively easy - apply some green masking tape as a guide and mark the individual letter locations before you place the letters.

OEDiscount parts - You can get the oem ones then paint or plasti dip them. Best way I think.

Well, I apologize in advance to disagree with some of you, but I have these eBay badges in gloss black and I think they look very good. Yes they are made of abs, but mine have been on a while and look as good as the day I bought them. This is just my humble opinion of course!

My OEM badges on the car are plastidipped
I bought bought a "Carbon Fiber" set of rear badges as well as plain gloss black. Let's just say I still haven't put on either despite having them for over a year. Quality is very disappointing and I didn't use them.
PS The Gloss black are stuck onto my home desk, forgot to mention that, haha.
Also, I jest checked the link for OEM parts and here is price gouging at its finest:
"C250" Emblem
[ 10 ] BODY HARDWARE / TRUNK LID / EXTERIOR TRIM / Nameplate
Part Number: 2038174315
nameplate "C250"
MSRP Core ? Online Price
$32.50 $0.00 $24.38
"4Matic" Emblem
[ 13 ] BODY HARDWARE / TRUNK LID / EXTERIOR TRIM / Nameplate
Part Number: 2208171015
nameplate "4MATIC"
MSRP Core ? Online Price
$46.00 $0.00 $34.50
Oh well if the C250 is $24.38 or roughly $6.10 per letter and the 4MATIC is $34.50 or roughly $5.75 a letter, the C63 should be about $18-$20 right......????
[ 12 ] BODY HARDWARE / TRUNK LID / EXTERIOR TRIM / Nameplate
Part Number: 2198171015
nameplate COUPE, "C63"
MSRP Core ? Online Price
$102.00 $0.00 $76.50
$76.50 or $25.50 a friggin letter!!!!

I think that the takeaway from this helpful hint is:
Buy the ones that you are looking at on eBay, and plastidip those. Plasti is a pretty easy method that you can most certainly do yourself. But it will be very cost effective for you. Buy the ones your looking at. Buy plasti. Do yourself!! Easy and will last a while. Just a thought....................
