Interesting Info on Pre-Facelift C63 AMG Transmissions
So I was doing some research and as it turns out our cars 2008-2011 have an AMG Speedshift Plus (I was unaware). This is not the same as the standard 7G-Tronic and it is obviously not the same as the AMG Speedshift MCT. Instead we land somewhere in the middle. I found out some interesting details and thought I would share via the videos and images below. Take it for what it is worth, neat stuff nonetheless!
It is essentially this transmission with some AMG love on the TCU, looks like it launched in 2012 to the rest of the fleet?

The plus is what is surprising.
The option that confirms this is "new generation torque converter"
Here's the confusing part though:
I thought that the 7 g tronic speedshift plus is only with those cars built between 2011 and 2012, that take the blue transmission fluid.
There was a small run in 2011 before the facelift where the transmission came with the blue fluid, or can be retrofitted to the blue fluid.
These could be the same cars that come with the new style head bolts, before facelift.
I thought those were the plus, not all the C63 08-11.
The article I saw even references special bearings so that they can run the low friction blue fluid.
Then the fueleconomy.org gives the 2011 a better gas mileage, in town.
