What rear toe setting are you guys using?

Getting a new set of tires Friday and I thought I'd add an alignment just to be safe. Any experience with dialing back the toe to ~.20 degrees per side? Don't want to burn through a set of expensive new tires that fast

I don't want dial it all out to 0, as I've read a bit of rear toe in is helpful in a high hp rwd car...

There's a few threads about toe in settings, but no consensus that I could find.

I think I have mine lowered to half of the factory min or more, I can't remember the exact number, but the C63 has a big rear toe compared to an e63. My rear tires last way longer.

Definitely helps. I'm running Michelin AS3's, which have a really good wear rating, but I'm going on 12k miles. Need to change them soon, though.

Lool, have you looked at the inner part of your rears? I am sure they are wearing a lot faster than any other area of the tire.

They usually do, but that is due to camber.

Mine is a little under half of factory rec. The mechanic who installed my H&R Coilovers (and MPSS), was a bit confused by the stock recommendations and how quickly they'd chew threw tires. Given the fact that they would help inexperienced folks with lots of power hopefully not end up in a ditch, and I'm not that person, we lowered it. Will likely go to zero before long. Tires are wearing really well and I *really* enjoy my car...

I just had mine set to 0.15 - going 275 mpss in the rear so that should work well with the wider tires

I get my winter tires on and don't have the new tires yet - they had to order them from the warehouse, plus I want to repair some curb rash on my wheels. That's probably better timing with the spring weather anyways

I measured the toe on my car before I installed the KW V3 and it was 1/16" a side on the front and 1/64" a side on the rear. The car is a 2012 I bought used but I don't think the alignment was changed from stock. That works out to .18* per side or .36* total on the front. The rear is .046* per side or .092* total on the rear.

After the drop it came out to 0.0* total front and rear. I did not bother trying to adjust the toe after the drop and decided to try the car out as it sat. The car drove fine all summer and I experienced no ill affects or handling issues from driving the car with these specs.

yep. they wear evenly, always have. Excessive toe in would wear the outside of the tire. negative camber and toe out wear the inside
I can take some pics of my tires and some other c63's i've done the alignments on if you'd like.

Lool no I don't need pics. My rears at stock toe killed the inner tire. If not for that I could have gotten a lot more wear out of that particular set. 0 the toe out and now they wear evenly.

Not challenging, just trying to understand the impact of toe.

Assuming zero toe, agree that negative camber will accelerate wear on the inside edge, because there is heavier load on the inside edge and that's what the tire is rolling on.

It seems like negative camber plus toe in would retain the higher load on the inner edge, and add scuffing (instead of just rolling, like a zero-toe tire would have). That seems likely to result in increased wear on the inner side of the tire.

Factory toe is likely not enough to see feathering. It will just wear faster.
