C63 Motor Mounts
Any of you guys have them changed out? I think mine are in need of replacement and the dealer will be taking care of them but just curious to other's experiences with the C63 and Motor mounts. I know my mounts went on my S4 at around 29k miles and the AMG is at around 24k now. Im getting a large amount of shuddering/shaking from the car when leaving a stop and coming to a stop now and the whole car shakes upon idle when on a hill. i know these are mount symptoms. Figuring maybe Ill have them do trans mount as well.

Same with trans mounts. On my E46 M3, I was constantly feeling notchiness when shifting. I tried a bunch of different things and couldn't get it to feel better. Changed the trans mounts and it felt slightly better. Changed the engine mounts and wowie! Felt like a new car. Those things take a beating -- especially with the amount of torque our engines put out.

Poly motor/trans mounts would be awesome. Haven't looked at ours to determine how easy they are to pull and fill with poly. Used to love solid mounts on other cars, I wonder if anyone has tried.
Here's a guy who did it on his C32: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...ounts-c32.html

Thats crazy for mounts to go bad so soon.
My car has a hair over 100k miles and based off my paperwork, mounts never replaced and no symptoms to say they need it.

Yup, I do the same. I do it with every AMG I've had actually, go in 6 months before warranty is about to expire and complain of vibration on cold start, and they have given me free motor and tranny mounts. E55, C55 and C63 - I've found dealers willing to do this job under factory warranty. I am guessing they get to charge MB quite a chunk of money, so they are happy to take on the work.

Thanks.
Today i had a weird situation happen. Car was idling after a nice hard rip on the highway and it was idling for about 20min while it was spray waxed at the detailers etc. I got into the car after and started it up I heard a deep knocking and felt it from under front of car, like bottom of the motor. Not really sure what that was.... Could a lifter have stuck from getting super hot idling then being shut off and started after? Knocking went away after I got home and parked and felt and listened for it.

Dealership replaced my motor and transmission mounts. Car feels better than it ever has. Perfect. No knocking on my brake pedal anymore at all. Perfect smoothness no roughness at all. I knew it was the mounts!

Bringing back a slightly old thread...
This morning my car did it's normal cold start but it felt harsher. It kind of felt like the motor rocked really hard when it first lit off. When the car is in neutral or park, the car feels smooth and normal. It revs smoothly and idles fine. No CEL. No stored codes. Nothing done to the airboxes in the last few miles. Car ran fine on the first half a tank of gas and is currently at about a half tank remaining. Spark plugs are 13k old. I have yet to pull them. I suspected the O2 sensors so I replaced them today and it feels the same. The only mods are ARH headers and EC V5 header tune. They have been on the car for about 3 months. I haven't gotten the car warm yet to see if the vibration goes away. I was scared when the car felt abnormal and just parked it. Could it be an engine mount? The heat shields for the engine mounts are not mounted because the headers. I'm guessing the headers might have accelerated the wear on the engine mounts. I have 73k on the car. I'm reallyhoping it's not a fuel pump or rail.
Edit: disregard my question. I looked under the hood and the right motor mount has red fluid coming out of it. Answered my own question.

If your car vibrate when the car is on drive, you may have one or two bad motor mount. You can also check the mount, they should have a clearance of your index finger between frame and bottom of the mount. If the mount rested on the frame, the mount needed replacement.
