Any eBay 507/bs hoods fit 2012 face lifted coupes?
Anyone have any luck with the less expensive eBay 507 hoods? I have a 13 coupe and most sellers are not sure if they will fit.
I'm not looking for a carbon hood and don't mind painting one either

I just went through this and ended up ordering a CF hood from Mode Carbon. The OEM BS hoods went up in price from $2000 to $2800 (discounted). Include the ~$600 in extra parts that are needed along with shipping and you're around $3800. Mode Carbon's hood can be had for much less and you get free carbon fiber vents. The only issue is that its a 4-6 week wait for production.

Most of the relatively affordable aftermarket hoods are being made for non-AMG cars it seems. The options to upgrade a C63 hood are all expensive and carbon fiber seems like the only option if you do not go OEM

I also don't want a carbon hood as it will look ricer on my white car.it's not worth paying for a carbon hood when I would just paint it to look OEM

Did they say those fit a c63? The c63 hood and fenders are slightly longer than the other c-class cars.

Yea, sadly the options are pretty limited. Either take a risk and possibly have to mod the cheaper hood or pay a premium for oem/carbon fiber.

Surely you don't *need* new hinges and shocks and other hardware to get the OE 507 hood to fit, right? Can anyone confirm?

Can suncoast confirm if there fiber glass hood fits a coupe? Also what is the difference maybe the 4dr and 2dr hoods are them same? Did anyone compare 507 edition c63 part numbers for a 2dr 507 and a 4dr 507

I've been told by a couple of places that you can just use the old stuff from your hood and just transfer it over. I say dive in skratch77 and see how it goes lol. If it doesn't fit, send it back "HCH will match Suncoast's Fit Guarantee & 3 Year Warranty". Then let us know so I can pick one up if it works lol.

The C63 AMG hoods in general are almost 3 inches longer than the regular C-Class types. So you have to be specific that it fits C63 AMG models only. The Extreme Dimensions, Suncoast ones will work fit.
The hinges between the 507 and 2012+ hoods are the same.
The only difference is for anyone with MY 08-11 doing a 2012+ AMG facelift swap (headlights and the hood). You will need a 2012+ hood latch.

What about 2012+ coupes? Are they the same as the 2012+ sedans

I don't have access to the 507 coupe and sedan hood part numbers but I'm pretty sure they are all the same. The coupe, sedan and estate pretty much use the same body panels, lighting regardless of the type.

It would be good to double check but I believe the coupe and sedan hoods are the same. I know they have different shaped windshields though, learned that the hard way
