Looking for some pricing/buying advice on low milage 2015 507s
Hey guys, I was wanting to get a discussion going on what people are currently paying, or what a good price would be, on a low milage 507 edition (preferably 2015). I have 2-3 that I have located and have begun to talk with sales associates, but have not moved to discussing numbers.
Some of you may remember a few months back I posted a bit about being in the market for a C63. That time I was trying to trade in my M235i for one, and I contacted 3-4 dealers, but could not work a deal with any of them. I ended up trading the car in on a 911, so this time I will be trading in our 2013 M3 Competition Package with 26k miles. This car is a lease that will end in July, so I thought that if I could work a trade deal on it for a lightly used 507 I could save big on taxes, plus I would have several months to get the best deal possible! The only thing that is really working against me is the fact that the M3 was hit by a distracted driver a few months back so there is an accident on the CarFax. After all this time I still REALLY want a C63!!!
The two main cars I am looking at are a 2015 with 4k miles listed for $64k (and a 14 hour drive ), and a 2015 with less than 500 miles listed at $70k (six hour drive to somewhere I would enjoy going). Both cars are 507s, loaded, and are just how I would have ordered new. There is also a 2014 with about 6k miles that is listed for $59k that would work, but for the slight price difference I would rather have the last year of this awesome car!
I am used to having to travel to get the car I want, but 14 hours is a bit much even for me. As such I would really love to work a deal on the 2015 with under 500 miles, but as it stands it is a bit out of the price range I would pay due to the fact that it is now TWO years old (2017s are about to hit the lot), and also the dealer PUNCHED the car almost a year ago, so it only has three years worth of warranty.
Having said the above, what do you guys think would be a good price for the car that would be considered a great deal here on the forum? I am personally thinking in the $63-64k range. Is that number possible or am I crazy? Has anyone else recently purchased a low milage 2015, and if so what did you pay? Please keep in mind that I also have to negotiate the trade on my M3, so this is not going to be easy, but I really hope to be in my first AMG soon! I am honestly thinking about just emailing the seller of the very low mile car and basically saying this is what I need to pay off my M3 and if you will take $xxx for the car I'll sign and put down deposit now!
Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes only looking at coupes. Thank you.
As an update; the car that is under 500 miles was just lowered $2k on their online ad. The SA called my phone to let me know about this. This is without me discussing numbers with them at all, so I believe they are going to make a strong push to get rid of this one. Really hope we are able to work it out! If I can get then to $65k on the 507 and they buy out my M3 I would drive down there right now! Maybe I should just email him that!
I have wanted a C63 for YEARS so this is very exciting!!!!

The M3 is a lease that ends in July (it was a lease takeover I assumed in March 2015) so I have to either get a new car or buy out the M3 which I don't plan on doing. I have put 24k miles on the M3 in the last year and I have really enjoyed the car, but it is time for something new. The C63 is a very special car IMO, and one that I have wanted to own for years, so I am hoping that it will finally work out!
After some more thought I am pretty sure that a good price for this car would be in the $62-$64k range with $65k being acceptable. Even though it only has a few hundred miles on it it is still a two year old car, and once it is driven off the lot it is the same as the many other 507's that are for sale for high 50s and low 60s. I'm going to give the dealer a call now and see what they can do on price!
Would still love to hear from anyone that has some knowledge or experience on what they would consider a good price to shoot for is! I have not been watching the prices and forum as closely as I was back in December, so I do not feel as prepared as I like to be for a negotiation!

Nice. Unfortunately, I cannot provide you much market knowledge on 507's as I've neither ever looked at buying one nor watch the prices.
At 500 miles though, sounds like a sweet basically new car and you seem pretty stoked about it. Post some pics!

Here is a picture of the car. I LOVE the 507 wheels in this polished finish, and I also love the C63 in white!

Really appreciate the message. Thank you.
Very interesting. It sounds like you got a really good deal. The difference in your car is that you actually got it brand new (where as since this one has been punched it is actually a year into warranty), and you also got it six months ago. I was watching 507 prices back then almost daily, and IIRC the inventory was much lower, mostly 2014 cars, and pricing was mid to upper 60's and into 70's. Now it seems there are many more cars on market, specefically 2015s, and asking price has moved to mid to low 60's and into 50s.
Thank you for your help!

Are there any Canadian 507s available?
With the USD >>> CAD $$ you might save some $$$.
FWIW I paid equivalent under $65K USD for my 507 out the door (2015 507)

I have a friend that recently bought a truck in canada, and that is a great option, but at the moment I do not want to have to travel that far, and I am a bit scared off by the thought of resale on a car that has speed displayed in km/hr.

I wanted to update this thread and let you guys know that I have sent in an offer of $62k on a 2015 C63 507 with 3.5 years of warranty and 240 miles on the clock and original MSRP of $89k before gas guzzler and delivery fee.
I will let you guys know how it goes, but for now please tell me what you think of my offer?

I see in your signature that you owned an M3 as well. Did you replace it with a C63, and if so how did you like the change. The E92 M3 has probably been the most fun car I have ever owned (not best) in the sense that not only have I had a blast hitting 8,400 RPM as many times as possible, but with is practicality my wife and I have driven it all over and have had many great memories in or with the car. It has also been 100% reliable with absolutely no hiccups what so ever, and I have driven the absolute hell out of it putting 23k miles on in 11 months. I am hoping to get the same from the C63; a blast ripping it up around town (that exhaust note!), and a comfortable, fun, and reliable car to take road trips and make memories in!
I'll keep you guys up to date! I am very excited, and this is a car I have wanted since it came out, so really hope it works out this time!

I am going to post the Manheim auction sales numbers for the C63 coupe for the last few months. There are very few sales, but this is what I am basing my offer on as well as numbers I have had quoted from other dealers, deals I have seen here, and watching inventory and asking price online for several months.
01/15/15 RIVRSIDE Regular $73,000 943 Avg WHITE 8G A No
03/03/16 PA Regular $60,250 1,945 Avg BLACK 8G No
01/27/16 PALM BCH Regular $62,500 2,730 Avg WHITE 8G P No
03/30/16 NASHVILL Regular $59,200 4,475 Avg WHITE 8GT A No
02/11/16 RIVRSIDE Regular $58,000 5,514 Avg WHITE 8G A No
There is really no way to know if these cars were 507s, and with so few examples its hard to pinpoint the perfect number, but based on the above I think that my offer of $62k is fair for both myself and the dealer. Please note that I will be paying TTL out of pocket in my home state which will be another roughly $4k.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I will let you know that $62k is going to be my absolute best and final. If they do not take my offer that is fine as I still have three months until lease end and I do not need a fourth car (I have an old truck I use for work).

I actually have yet to replace the M3. I'm fortunate enough to be in a situation where I don't need a car (live and work in a city environment) so I'm currently waiting for the right car to come along. I still check in on the C63 forums every now and then as I cross shopped the C63 with the M3 and still wouldn't mind getting into a 12+ sedan or maybe even a 507 sedan. Hope everything works out for you though, even if you do appear to be a UK fan....

I appreciate the advice. When did you purchase your 507 and how many miles were on it?
I have a friend that recently bought a truck in canada, and that is a great option, but at the moment I do not want to have to travel that far, and I am a bit scared off by the thought of resale on a car that has speed displayed in km/hr.

Equivalent of around $62k USD but in Canadian dollars.
