I'm commissioning one to be made for personal use, and it's no more work to have additional ones made at the same time. The adapter plate will be very similar to the one below, except with two additional holes at the bottom for the Magnum bellhousing. It's a CNC'd part that's a bit less than an inch thick, and it suits the front-sump M156 (not the rear sump one though).

It won't be cheap. But the price will depend on how many adapter plates are made (more is better). There's no money in this for me, just figured I'd offer it out to the community for anyone that wants to do a manual conversion.

PM me if you're interested.

Howdy!
I have an adapter plate that goes between the bellhousing of the M113K and the TR6060. My TR6060 came from a 2009 Dodge Challenger and has the removable bellhousing. I sold the car I was going to swap the engine in to so I don't need any of the transmission parts. I am looking for an adapter to bolt a Porsche transaxle to the M113k for a mid engine project if you have heard of one.

Just thought I would offer it. Maybe I aught to post it here :)

Have a good day,
Ben

Do you still have this adaptor?

I do along with the rest of the bits other than the flywheel. What do you need?

Guess i need all the parts you have for this setup. Im planning on running a chevy automatic behind an m113. So if i can get the trans bolted up i believe i can have a torque converter custom made to work.

How much do you charge for the adapter kit for a m113k I just blew the transmission up on mine with only 110k miles on the car.. I have a smaller supercharger pulley and headers and the stock transmission gave me all neutrals after I didn’t a burn out with slicks.

the M113k and M156 use the same bolt pattern.

mega_rad 07-26-2023 04:33 PM

If the bolt pattern is the same, isn't there already a bolt-up option for m113k using a 6 speed from a crossfire or something? Or am I remembering that incorrectly

The Crossfire transmission (NSG370) does bolt up, but is rated to 273 lb-ft. There isn't much support for this gearbox in the aftermarket, either. Nor was it really intended as a performance gearbox.

Adapting to a GM Tremec bellhousing taps into the HUGE support network for the TR6060 / Magnum gearbox. Stock it came with up to 556 lb-ft in the CTS-V, and the Magnums go up from there.

Think of the GM Tremec as the LS smallblock of the transmission world.

Hi Jkav, how'd it go with the conversion?

Southways 03-04-2024 06:47 AM

I did this a while back - M156 to LS7 twin-plate clutch. We used a Corvette torque tube, but a T6060 has the same interfaces.
It is now an an Aston Martin (circa '75).

Tried to message you directly but it looks like I'm too new. Do you still have these/can you still make them? What flywheel/clutch/TO bearing did you use? Would you sell another one or even the file for it? Looks like it'll bolt to an m112/m113?

NZ-Merc 03-24-2024 01:10 AM

Okay, my opinion is the potential problem in the engine it is not designed for a manual gearbox and If it only has crankshaft thrust bearings at 50% of a engine designed for manual or automatics.

P/N A1560330262 qty 2 an engine for manual would need to have 4.
