Windshield / Dash
Quick question, where the windshield meets the dash. The mesh trim in the picture, how do I remove it? I can here like something is rattling under there.

Not sure how to remove that, but before you do, mine was "rattling". I found that it was rubbing against the A pillar, and that was causing the rattle noise. I cut a small piece of black plastic card and stuck it in the gap between the mesh piece and the A pillar, and the noise stopped.

I'll bet he is. . . but that noise is not limited to the C-Class family. I have the same noise on my E400, and the dealer "cannot replicate" the noise. I'm just waiting until I can find some black felt to press in above the speedo.

Buy some Velcro and use the soft side. It has sticky tape already on it to secure the Velco-felt. Any craft store or any pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, ect.) or even grocery store, should have Velcro.

I got some felt and placed it under the speedo as well I placed some between the a-pillar and the mesh near the windshield. The noise is gone!!! Thanks guys, I can now drive without the radio on and enjoy the real music.
