Best FL Taillights for PFL

What's the best brand/set of FL Taillights for PFL cars?

I'd love to go OEM, but it seems like a huge hassle having to change the SAM and everything.

I've heard DEPO is good? Any others?

I installed a set of depo with Euro amber turns a few months ago. Function is pretty darn close to OE. Fit and finish was great. After the first month I started getting the odd warning for a rear marker being out. Doesn't bother me given ease of install and everything functions well.

Unless aftermarket parts have changed dramatically these days I would stick with OEM

Aftermarket DEPO's will work fine.

They come with resistors that cancel out the bulb warning. The resistors get hot but its nothing to worry about as long you mount them away from the interior carpet/insulation.

Aside from OEM, they are almost identical minus the MB stamping and the "vents" on the edges will need to be cut out (For the brake dust to vent out). I gave up on trying to find the right 2012+ SAM and programming to run OEM FL tail lights. When I realized that the OEM FL tail lights we're made in Slovakia, etc. It really didn't matter where it was made as long as they worked fine and the quality was present. For the price, they are a life saver and you will have less headaches.

I have the DEPOs and could not be happier. They are identical to OEM fit and finish as I had them side by side and compared at length.

Other than the small imprints, they are LED and phenomenal.

Recently, every so rarely, I have gotten the signal on my dash stating that "left rear side marker is out" and I will go out and will observe that everything is absolutely fine and I just "press" ok and it goes away for extended periods of time.

I will chalk it up to resistor issues or over heating but I am really not sure. It happens only rarely.

But they look so nice.

They do throw codes once in a while.

I've had for them over a year now and its probably thrown a light code maybe 3-4 times.
You press "OK" and its gone. But the gains definitely outweigh the negatives.

I had the Depos on my 2009 for almost couple of years and they worked really well without issues. At $280+, I think they were really cheap too.

Looks like I'll grab the DEPOs.

With the AznOptics LEDs right now on my PFL Tails, I get the occsaional "BULB OUT" Warning too, but I press OK, and it goes away.

Not to mention, when I get out of the car to check, they all work fine too. Minor quirk, no biggie there.

Anybody know the best place to order them? eBay? Or do any of our Forum Sponsors have them?

Is there any difference between Euro and N/A Tails?

I have Euro Tails because I'm in HK.

Rear Fog difference maybe?

I think it's the turn signal color. NA=red. Euro=amber. Someone correct me if I am wrong

Will report back. I emailed them asking them if their tails had any difference.

And asked what color their turn signals are.

Euro DEPO Lights?

Or just Euro Lights in general?

I've sent Fishcake a message, waiting for their response on what color their turn signals are!

Anyone can help? I am more and more confused about which are the correct taillights to order for my PFL ('09) C63. I keep seeing options on various sites of "not for C63, or not compatible with factory LED or only for non LED factory , etc... My car has the factory lighting pkg. but it appears someone (previous owner) may have replaced the stock taillights with tinted lights. I am not a big fan of tinted lights so my whole purpose is to get some decent lights to replace them w/out having to sell my firstborn. The Depo lights look good but I am totally cornfused about which ones I truly need??? Maybe I am just over-thinking this?

They are all the same.

For factory OEM W204 Non-LED tail lights and LED (Lighting Package) tail lights.

Only differences are :

100% OEM, Tinted version (Reverse lights tinted)
and your choice between RED vs AMBER lit turn signals.

So all in all, they are all the same tails, except for the 4 aesthetic options.

I'm EU Spec, so I like the Amber Turns.

https://www.uniquestyleracings.com/i...arch=w204+tail

Either way, I spoke with Fishcake, he directed me to his website, telling me these ones are the Euro Amber ones.

I've asked him for photos between the Red/Clear and the Red/Smoke, as on his website, it only give sme the option for Red/Clear, but they mention there should also be a Red/Smoke option.

Have confirmed that the difference is the turn signal colors. Red for US, Amber for EU
