Tuned ECU problem?

I purchased a used 2009 C63 just over a year ago from a used dealership. It has several performance modifications from renntech. ECU tune, long tube headers + exhaust + cold air system.

I had a CE light referring to a fuel rail pressure sensor back in september. They (MB) replaced the sensor and all seemed to be fine. A week ago the CE light came on. I had them check the code and it was the same thing. They replaced it again and said there was fuel in the sensor or something along those lines. I picked up the car and the CE was still on. They ran it again and said the ECU was now asking for 6000 psi from the fuel pump? They said there was no answer other then flashing the ECU with factory tuning to fix the problem.

Has anyone had any exp with this? Flashing will get rid of the renntech tune so I was disapointed to hear their answer as I did not buy the tune originally it will cost 2k to have it placed on again it seems.

Forget the renntech tune. If they have to flash it, then just get an OE or EC tune for like $700 or whatever the special is now. $2000 for a tune?! No thanks.

Thanks for the advice. I assume those tunes should work just fine with the other after market components that are on the car currently? My local MB says they are worried to flash it because they think the car wont work with the aftermarket parts once its factory tuned. I am learning as I go here so I not sure their fears are warranted or not.

Renntech does good work but I have to agree, their prices are outlandish. The car would work but just not run to full potential. Like chrisridebike8, there are other good options that are cheaper.

Well if your long tubes are catless, I see why they would not want to flash it back to stock as it would run dangerously lean.

There is a high flow cat on the car but it was put on by the second dealership to make the car legal for emissions

OE, EC and Weistec all have tunes for headers and flash loaders that allow you to switch between tunes on your own. Hell, for $2000 you can get all 3!

Is there a central site that you all use to check for tunes? Someone had mentioned there are specials from time to time. Is there somewhere I need to be watching daily?

Just watch the normal forums, they post sales all the time . Or you can msg any of them, they are pretty quick to reply back.

Example -
Eurocharge Tune
