Scrapes under front bumper

Scrapes under front bumper
Wondering how many of you have scrapes under your front bumper? I just bought a low mi 2015 507 and it's bugging the crap out of me that under the front bumper is scraped. Got an estimate, and because of the way it's damaged, will cost almost $1700 to fix.
Cannot see it unless you get down on the ground, but just knowing it's there drives me nuts. Rest of the car is flawless. Should I let this go and get over my OCD?

If you 'fix' it, it will just get scraped up again. Mine is like that too, and I bet the majority are. It's not visible and there's nothing you can do about it continuing to happen, so just try to ignore it.

No scrapes on my front bumper but when I first got my car it had scrapes on the bottom of the exhaust tips lol. Get a lip to cover the bumps or try to repair yourself. Then just wax and maintain it and it should be good.

I am the same way you are. I drive the car and by no means is it a garage queen but I like everything PERFECT!
I have a few, very very minor scratches and it was bugging the heck out of me. You could not see them unless you went all the way under to look.
There are a few options and I have mulled them over:
1. Use touch up paint and mask off the rest of the bumper UNAFFECTED as to not spread the pain everywhere. Then polish and buff it and try to blend it as much as possible. The plastic underneath the pain is white and the goal is to cover as much of this up as possible.
2. If the scratches are severe and can be seen, and the plastic is affected badly, I am so OCD that I would of purchased another OEM bumper and had it painted and installed. Some might think this is crazy but it depends how you view your car. Mine was a keeper and I take pride in its appearance. So for me, if it got to this point, I would go all the way and then care for how I drive, park the car.
3. You could clear bra it. But it is difficult to do so and its underneath so it wouldn't really make sense. Clear bra is to protect from damages and scratches not so much after they have been done. Even if you Xpel it you will still be annoyed at knowing there is damage. You can always repaint THEN do clear bra
4. Install a front lip....not sure if the 507 would even look good with one or needs one
But I hear ya man. It really burns to have a nice car then get her all nicked up...

I guess I just don't get it. If the scrapes are underneath the bumper, and only visible if you crawl under it or to the mechanics who work on your car, and if it's a low car and bound to get scraped up again ANYWAY..... who cares? You could paint this totally invisible area, or buff it, or sand it and primer and paint it again, but only you will know it. There's nothing to protect, it's just plastic underneath. And I can just about guarantee that it will get all scraped up in no time on a speed bump, or inclined driveway, or in a parking lot, or or or....... Surely there are better things in your life to waste your time and brain cells on.

^ +1 to BLKROKT
mine has gotten scraped just from normal driving around new england. I try my best to avoid curbs and parking barriers but the combination of low driving position and the long raised hood makes it difficult in certain situations. I feel like an absolute idiot when it happens, but the reality is you're probably the only one who knows, except for every other owner who is probably in the same shoes as you are :P so honestly it is pointless to have it repaired unless you're having some actual visible/structural damage on the bumper being fixed as the same time
I love the look of the DTM style front lip that BLKROKT and other members have, but given the state of my stock bumper, I can only imagine how quickly I would destroy a lip that actually goes lower than the stock bumper. so for now I have decided to just replace the center plastic cover of the bumper with an ebay carbon fiber cover to match the carbon rear diffuser and lip spoiler I'm going to install as well

I hear you. Just chalk it up to an OCD, mental condition....but you do make a point and I am picking up what your putting down...

Yes $1700 USD. More than I originally thought because part of the underside of the bumper is warped. I think the former owner or dealer used heat to fix it and instead warped it.
Logic part of my brain says "you don't see it, live with it." OCD part of my brain says "car is damaged, fix it and make the car perfect."

Dealers use the services of mobile guys who take care of that stuff for them and it's a couple hundred bucks at most. Not the greatest quality, obviously, but pretty good. And since it's underneath you'll hardly see it.
