Exclamation Jack stand inserts

What do you guys use to fit inside the jack stand "U" shape to get the stand to fit nicely in the square slots?

Two options:

1) https://www.amazon.com/ESCO-10498-Ja.../dp/B0019JVIPM

2) Buy Esco jack stands - probably the best jackstands out there since they're a wide tripod and have a circular flat pad.

This thing is pretty awesome. I got the BL-5000 model and its super handy for people like me who move often. stows away quickly and takes little room. Enough clearance to roll under the car with a dolly. If I were more permanent, I would get an in ground lift instead but for my situation, this one does the job well.

Reverse Logic has great jack pad inserts and jack pads. Lots of other great stuff as well. Drop Fred an email and he will hook you up, fred@reverselogic.us

My buddy had a version of this and we couldnt lift my C63 with it because it was too short front to back to hit the jack locations. Is there one that is better?

Really? Like it couldn't reach the two jack points underneath the side skirts? That's odd being that the C63 is relatively short.

It comes to just about the jackpoints, I use the rubber blocks that come with it to provide clearance so no metal to metal contact. No issues with it. I use it frequently to swap wheels quickly and other miscellaneous stuff. Will use it when I replace the rear diffuser and install the front lip.

I do agree that it seems best suited for shorter wheel base cars like my corvette, it worked perfect for it, but it does just fine for the benzo.

I was shocked too, but it def did not reach either side. I would need an adjustable one. I really would put this to great use too.

Burgertuning is where I got my jack pads. It's a metal piece that sits on jack pad and fits perfectly into the jack spots on the car. They are known for bmw stuff but this is one of the few things they sell for Benz. It works great for me was like 20 bucks

I have that jack pad too. I love it. But I dont think I would ever put that between the car and a jack stand.

Well not the u shaped jack stands cause the risk of slipping is to great. You either use regular jack stands and put one of the notches in the jack pad or go for a flat jackstand.

The ones in that picture you posted work perfect. Each end of the side jack points have a curved nub that the stand in the pic you posted can cradle.

I tried going across the groove and it cracked the plastic underneath, and when going length wise, the curved nubs would only hit 1 side.. You have a pic on how you did it?

It only needs to hit one side. Front or back, doesn't matter.

Now here is my question when you jack the car up with the jack on the jack pad where do you put the stand?? Been my problem every time no good spot. Just wondering how you plan on putting the jack stand in the spot you need to use to jack the car up

I drive onto my lift then use an airbag jack on the diff or front centre jack point to lift and place jack stands.

Reverse Logic has both jack pads to jack on and inserts to place stands under, that fit into the space in the plastic jack points. I use stands with a u shaped cupped top and the ends span the insert in the jack point. The jack stand ends may touch the plastic a little on either end and mar it a bit but they have never broken a plastic jack point or collapsed the jack point.

I have a rubber cover that came with my jack to reduce damage to the under surface of the car. Like Jason I jack on the front plastic jack point in the sub-frame in front of the center of the engine or under the rear differential. The rubber cover keeps the jack from doing any damage to either point. Then the jack points are easy to access to place stands under to work under the car.

This is what I use for my jack. Can't beat it for the price IMO.
