What is the fastest NA C63?
Hi.
I just want to introduce myself. My name is Sonny and I recently purchased a 2008 C63 AMG. I have been waiting to buy this car since it first came out but had to wait until now to be able to afford one secondhand.
Being from Australia the Mercedes are still very expensive secondhand but I'm glad I bought this car as I have two kids and it's the perfect daddy's car.
I just wanted to ask about who has the fastest NA setup for the W204 C63? and what were the mods?
Thanks in advance.

Think dodger probably holds that title, tons of weight removed from the car was his secret. For all out power, I think Renntech had their c63 flyin. Mthis was hitting really good times too NA.

Sonny you have a great C63 group is AUS. Some silly quick C63's from down under.
I'm pretty sure Dodger holds the NA record as well.

Secret sauce to go 10s and trap 130.
AR LT . With x pipe and straight pips (has to be does headers as the MBH are to big and lose tq down low and cant get you out the hole to get that 60foot )
Custom ms109 race gas tune
Ram air intake and renntech airboxes
Lsd
15lbs lightweight battery
16inch wheels with c300 rotors
600 lbs weight reduction.
This set up and 45f weather will get u 10.7s@130 ALL day at mir or atco

This man knows what he's saying.
I always felt the MBH headers produced less TQ down low. The smaller diameter AP/IPE headers net less HP but have a stronger TQ curve between 2-4K.

With the exhaust system do you mean to keep the stock headers and run an aftermarket exhaust?
I understand that the biggest problem with the C63 or any Euro cars are the weight, but keeping in mind I don't think I'll be that hardcore to strip the interiors so I guess I'll do what most member do and hope for around mid 11s.
E85 seems like a good alternative too as most of my cars in the past had been tuned to run on it, but I'm really scared to run e85 on the Merc as it's too damn expensive just incase **** happens lol.

I'd love to know how dodger lost 600#. Seats and spare etc are one thing, but they don't even get you 1/4 of the way there. What else?

A quarter of that? I don't think so. I only weigh 220!
Math skills like that do explain my budgeting issues tho.

Front power passenger seat and brackets and slider alone is close to 100 pounds...at least the passenger seat in my CLK was. Back seats have got to be close to 150 pounds total. CF hood is another 50 pounds. Headers and cat delete are going to save you another 100. Custom wheels and skinny front runners will save you another 40 pounds. If he removed mufflers altogehter that's more weight. A Braille CF battery saved me nearly 40 pounds in my CLK. A reduction of 500-600 pounds is definitely doable in a C63 if you strip in down.

What he said ^ its not hard to lose weight just have to try first.
E85 on stock system no bueno ms 109 has worked the best in my time.
If push comes to shove i can get my c63 under 3100lbs.

If you have a 9.16 for a C63 post it up there I'd love to see it.

Everything that gets posted IN that thread gets updated as long as it's a C63. I already searched through countless other threads to find all the slips that I could in order to get it to that point, and I'm not doing that anymore.

We all know you're the fastest AMG - massive kudos on that. And if anyone doesn't know, we should remind them of your car every chance. Absolutely sick. What's the current state of it these days?
I wonder if we should add a category for fastest M156, just for benchmarking purposes....
On a side note, nice to see you more active again lately

My mistake, I didn't realize it was only C63. I was thinking it was all AMGs, I did it in my CLK63 sorry about that.
