MBH LTH Unboxing...(teaser)
First I want to say thanks to Mike from MBH. He took his time to answer all of my many questions and the whole experience with purchasing could not have been better. I purchased LTH/high flow cats/test pipes/midpipes/xpipes (basically every option). Everything shipped 3 weeks after the order was placed and Mike was available and answered all calls during this time. Received a tracking number as soon as the package shipped. Hid it in the closet from the fiance for a week after . Finally told her about the box and she was ok with it lol. Everything was packaged extremely well!!! Anyways here are the unboxing pics...leaving the bubble wrap on to make it easier to transport for install (Unless I can't sleep tonight and do a full unwrap.) Plan on getting a before and after dyno w/ an updated LTH tune from OE. Will update with more pics/video when I get to the shop!!!
Does anyone know the part numbers for the bolts and gaskets? I want to order these before I go for the install. Ok on to the pics!!!

GL with the header install I love my MBH LTHs with catted mids and x-pipe with OEM catback. It sounds beastly.

Gents - combining a 3" exhaust system up to the backboxes/rear mufflers....dyno proven to make more power and torque, than just slapping the longtubes on and mating them to the stock oval piping/resonators?
I know it should make more power, but seeing as the resonators are straight through and the majority of the gains are from the longtubes/decat combo...i'm wondering if it's worth going the whole hog and having stainless steel piping all the way back?

So...I have no self control...I'm human...
These headers are INCREDIBLE!! The quality and craftsmanship is amazing!!! Looking at the welds, the design, the material. I cannot say enough how blown away I was when unwrapped these headers. Mike I have to say thank you for putting out such a high quality product!!!! Pictures/videos do not do this piece justice. I've seen pictures of headers from other companies...I'll just let you guys come to you own decision....

Well made? They look OK, but some of the joints are mismatched and there appears to be a few miter joints which even though it doesn't hurt performance much, it just doesn't look good.

Please explain what you mean by mismatched? Are you referring to the stepped design from primary to collector? As for joints, anyone familiar with bending tubing will tell you, you cant have 2 bends compounded on the same section of tubing without a minimum straight section in between bends, usually that is 4-6 inches. Consider the space limitations for the car... We think we are doing a kickass job of making an extremely well performing, and built header with barely enough space left to fit your hand.

What...
If you know of a better set of LTH
for Mercedes please post a link as
I also would like to know
I missed out on the recent MBH sale
as I had some questions that I was
researching for answers regarding
mid section / exhaust
Hopefully there will be another sale
in the near future that will prompt
a phone call to Mike
Thank-You

And I will give you credit for using the tri-y design. I think NASCAR has proven it is the best design for big V8's.
