I took the car to my body shop. 1K for paint / labor + 1K for parts. Not bad. A lot less hassle to cut up the PFL hood to fit the vents. I have access to a 507 hood in black. But too much work to retrofit it to the PFL car.
I definitely prefer to mod my OEM hood then run an aftermarket version.

It is weird too, if you search the number on ECS they come up with nothing, but on google it finds it on ECS, not cheap for a little tray, but a bit important to keep the water off stuff you don't really want water on!

It seems that they (ECS) have a part number of their own, in which case would be ES#2520111 for the left side and ES#2520112 for the right side. Go figure.

I think I got everything i need/want ordered (hood, modecarbon vents, brackets and rivets, insulation). At 3175.53 before paint

For whatever it’s worth, I think cutting my hood, buying and installing the MC carbon fiber vents, plus paint and labor, came out to about $700 all-in. It doesn’t look perfect, but it’s damn close.

hey BLKROKT, any advice or tips you can give in regards to cutting OEM hood to install 507 hood vents? I plan to buy some carbon fiber hood vents and the two drip trays and brackets for each. Getting some quotes from body shops. Thanks to your other post I have the post which the measurements. Thanks!

You might try PMing him... Unless you put something silly in the subject (or have a legit racing question) he won't see that.
(although you did resurrect a year-old thread so you might get lucky)

No advice, there’s not much to it. Measure CAREFULLY. Mine are just a hair off, maybe just fractionally too close together. FL cars have aluminum hoods so it cuts like butter. I never installed the trays and I’ve been in some crazy downpours since then, no problems whatsoever. The 507 hood cutouts are nice because the nostrils are enclosed pockets where the vents just sit nicely flush to the hood. My vents are not flush and it bothers me a little. The holes are cut just slightly smaller than the vents so they sit on the hood with a 1/8” lip. If I had to do it over again, which I probably will, I’d either fabricate little brackets or recess those vents so they were more flush. It’s tricky.
