Weistec, Renntech or Eurocharged Tune

Hi guys,

I am looking to get a tune on my C63 and going over all the posts I'm not sure which vendor to choose. I'm not looking to restart discussions about who screwed who and all that crap just an honest recommendation.

Renntech is known for their quality but prices are almost double the other vendors.

Weistec is somewhat local and they installed my LSD in the past, I find them hard to reach over the phone but what scares me the most is the posts about their internal legal issues and potential problems with future support.

Eurocharged seems to popular but I know nothing about them.

Thanks in advance

Eurocharged = super easy to flash back and forth between tunes and stock file, multiple tune options at your disposal (Street, Race, etc), great service, good tune updates, push the envelope with new products and services, nice people

Weistec = leaders in the M156, have to send ECU to them to tune (bench), only one tune and once it's tuned it's tuned for good

Renntech = ??

Hello, thanks for considering us, we have programmers on the shelf at all times to send out same day of purchase. The programmer helps ease of installation of the tune as well as the ability to flash the car in the comfort of your own garage. We have C63 customers every day and have lots of time into the tune/files.

Feel free to call me and ask any questions. I'll be glad to help you out and spend time.

Thanks
-Phil

Thats a great point about Eurocharged! do the supply the tool or do I need to buy it seperatly?
also are there any potential issues with multiple writes to the ECU? (Although the car not being my DD I would leave it in crazy mode)

Any significant differences between them as far as engine / AFR safety?

You buy the handheld/tune together. They ship you the handheld. When you get it, you download your file from your car, send it to EC, they send you back the tuned file, you upload to the car.

It is a pretty easy/smooth process.

3 and a half years with EC and no complaints. They do charge a small fee for retuning to support future mods but it's not bad. Great support and product.

You will have to put it on the dyno after you get the initial tune to get your AFR readings and the tuner will fine tune it for you to be as ideal as possible.

5+ years with EC, no complaints.

Recently emailed Jerry with a detailed technical question and he responded within an hour.

So I have pulled the trigger on the Eurocharged Tune, they got a lot of good long term feedback and talking to them over the phone left me with a sense of confidence and their Labor Day deal was very good.

Since I posted I learned of at least four other companies, I'm sure all of them are great a few even reached out right away which I really appreciate being in sales myself.

A lot of them do that... up to the sale. Then suddenly it's like you never existed. That isn't an issue with EC

i can't say I would buy one over the other as I only have experience with Eurocharged on the W204 platform.
I can say that my experience with Eurocharged will keep me from ever looking into another tuner so long as I am tuning cars. Great group of people, easy install, problem free, noticeable gains! Was everything they said it was and I expected.

EC has done well by me. Nothing but praise about them from my end.
