Passenger Seat Won't Move
Hello Everyone,
I'm having an issue with the passenger seat on my new-to-me 2009 C63. The bolsters and lumbar adjustment buttons on the side are performing, but the seat will not move forward/backward. I checked the connectors and everything appears to be in good order, so I'm stumped. Any insights or instructions?

Ok, going to take a shot at this one, there are 2 types of seats, the fully electric that has the controls on the door by the opening handle on the inside and the semi electric that should never have existed on a 75k car, but I digress.
If you have the semi electric, which I think you have, you have the 3 buttons on the side for bolster lumbar etc. You also have 2 buttons on the lower side of the seat that are height and tilt, then you have a manual wheel near the front to raise and lower the front of the seat and then you have a manual lever on the floor that you pull up and can run the seat back and forth manually.

My passenger seat stopped reclining last week. There's a control module under the seat that I think I messed up when installing my fire extinguisher. Try unplugging/replugging the control boxes under there. Same thing happened to my drivers seat the first week I had my car, and that fixed it.

I plugged and replugged all the control boxes underneath the passenger seat. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the issue. Could it be a fuse? Or is that improbable? Thanks everyone for the replies and help.

Could certainly be a fuse, worth a check - there seems to also be a known problem with the relays that control the seats going sometimes and if you search around there are reports of wires under the seats sometimes getting pinched and causing the fuse to blow or relay to fail.

Edit: Nevermind, I'm stupid. I didn't realize that the seats won't recline if the rear seats are down. That control module thing still worked for me on the drivers side, but obviously this is something different. Search is your friend, duuuh.

Mine was replaced under warranty, but contact FCP Euro, they can try to source one for you. They are great guys.

I'll second the sentiment regarding FCPEuro. They have provided me with parts at a significant saving (even when you add shipping, Tax and Duty) compared to the cost of the parts direct from Mercedes in Western Australia. FCPEuro are the best.
