Got rid of my black C 63 and then got a R171 SLK 55 AMG for about a year, midlife crisis I don't know. Lol. Awesome car and handles like a go cart those SLK's though but missed the space and roar of my 63 so got another one, this time in Iridium silver, SLK was also black and keeping those black cars clean is a pain in the butt. But never the less my hub refurbishment had to be done all over again.

Good news it came out good I think, bad news, I still have three more left to do. lol
I have a soft spot for SL's, I think the SLKs are a bit too small for me lol.
SL's are beautiful but I have never driven one, always wanted to have a go in a SL 65, that thing must be monstrous. I enjoyed the SLK, it was like a road going F1 car especially the F1 nose that it was based on made it feel more the part. I saw an SLK with an SLR motor in it on YouTube. That must be a crazy experience to drive that thing.
You can also use Philips Diamond Vision H7 in the fog lights. Just plug in and about 5000k. Looked good in my 2010.

Mort, since you are my foglight specialist.lol. I bought these last night on ebay, do think they will work? They were cheap so took a chance because I'm in the same situation now with my silver one having to redo everything over again. But those previous bulbs I bought for the black one were crappy,:

Dunno specs on those, but low/high/fog generally require stronger level resistance that makes built into bulb solution rare as the heat level generated would melt the solder. I highly doubt those would work as I know the base material cost to get something to work is way more than what hesh selling for, but you can try. Also looks like your first concern is even receiving the product let alone functionality if you see the review.
Also they use 5050 diodes be which are super unreliable.
Our solution isn't cheap but it's quality and works.

So because the roads have been so bad here I wanted to get a set of reps and store my multispokes so I don't damage them on a pothole or something. I found nothing local and a cousin of mine in Johannesburg sent me a pic of these, I decided to get them hoping they will fit and suite the car and to my surprise they really look good in MHO. Had a set of Vogtland 20 mm drop installed just before I got them and the combination seems to go well together. What are nice of the reps are that they are 1/2 inch wider than the OEM 19's (think they have a more aggressive offset as well) which makes them sit more flush with the body. The rears give a scrape here and there over bumps but nothing major. I have the 17 mm spring spacers for the rear I bought from the dealers to install when I get a chance and think that it would look a bit better.
Also installed a set of these TRW ceramic brake pads which I haven't heard much about but so far so good. Only issue is when installing the fronts you have to grind the middle steel pin away otherwise it doesn't pass the middle cylinder on your calipers. The rear TRW ceramic pads.
