throttle % wide open stock vs tunes?

not sure if my dealer flashed my car back to stock and I don't have a hand held to retune but my throttle only goes to 87% when I go wot on my obd2 scan tool.

can anyone with a tune or stock car see if there's goes to 100% when going wot?

you can do this with any cell phone and obd2 apps and you can do it with car not running but connected to phone app

I doubt the dealer flashed your car back to stock. The only thing I can think of is that the obd2 app is not reading correctly.

I tried a few apps and all are reporting 87% throttle flooring it.the dealer did a huge top end job and had the car for over a month

can you see if your car shows 100% tps when floored?

I'm thinking maybe I was looking at the wrong value.
I looked at load percentage... but that may not be accurate. I'll have to check TPS...

I'm using Dashcommand via ELM-327 and iPhone

depends on app some call it absolute throttle position and some call it tsp % easiest way is just moving the gas pedal and seeing it adjust the %

thanks and I'm wondering if most tunes just allow the throttle bodies to just open up 100% to get that extra top end rush

Doubt it. There's more behind tuning than that.

I thought I read a while ago that the detuning of our 63 in stock form was the throttle bodies not opening up all the way.

not sure how to compare to my software and don't know if your 100% value is the actual foot pedal vs the actual throttle position sensor and if your angle %is the actual throttle bodies

87% is the maximum the throttle can open. If you do a search it's been discussed before.

on my e55 I can get it to open 100% and can confirm it visually with the intake off looking at the blade opening up.

wonder if tuning can open it up all the way?

Here's the thread. It's like 90% because of the throttle shaft diameter. Anything more than that is pointless.

Torque limiter maps are responsible on detune stock file not throttle opening.

Throttle body, bud.
Stock cars open less that 70% from what I'm reading. Perhaps I'm mistaken...

Did the dealer perform an update? I had my 63 in a few weeks ago, and I asked for the newest update (my fault..it helped on my G37). When I got it back it felt de-tuned.....so I immediately got the EC V5 and all is good.

that's what I'm trying to figure out.my car was bought from Miami and was tuned in-house at renntech by previous owner and it felt flat after getting it back and was curious if i could tell if it's still tuned by the throttle % it's opening without putting it on a dyno

I was told by former MB tech the newest updates actually de-tune the car for emission purposes, not sure how true it is but my car felt like it afterwards.
