Here are the details:
2012 C63 Sedan, 49k miles. Purchased CPO and was still under CPO warranty (barely, 1mo remaining).
Original Options
Magnetite Black $720
Rear Camera $460
Limited Slip Differential Lock $2030
COMAND Single Disc Package $930
Lighting Package $1290
This one I have to stay out of, as I am in a different market in a different currency.

You're misunderstanding him, so lets leave retarded out of this lol. He's asking what you think that car, with that mileage, and those options would be worth on the market currently, as of today. He is trying to establish that in order to have the insurance co work towards that number. Original price of the car doesnt matter, nor the original price of the options. He prolly just cut and pasted.

ahh in USA they allow you to say the market value of your car? In Ontario they just give you whatever their little "book" says market value is worth at least in my experience from the past

Haha no sorry that wasn't more clear. I listed details of the car and original options and sticker cost. Insurance offer was $35k.

I did a nationwide search for 2012 sedans under 60k miles on autotrader, and the cheapest one IN THE COUNTRY is $35k, 57k miles, no options whatsoever, and the interior of the car is nasty (seats torn and stained) - and those are the pics they chose to put on the internet. I imagine it can only be 10x worse in person.

The only 2012 sedan within 200mi of me is listed at $40k, 28k miles but only options are keyless go and multimedia. No HID headlamps and LSD, which IMO are must-have options for this car.

Jaguar Elmhurst Offered 37k For mine when i looked at a trade in. I just walked out. 25k Miles CPO 2012 C63 coupe, Kbb for a good condition car showed 41k for dealer and 45k for Private sale. Somwhere around that.

Only thing i dont have is the lighting package.

If it's a laughable offer, I'm going to guess they offered you $28k.

So first, never take their first offer as they low ball you. Second, they have to pay your retail replacement cost, how much you would pay at a Mercedes dealer with equivalent features and warranty etc.

To replace your car, it would be 40-45k depending on option and mileage - definitely no less than 40k.

Interesting. I wonder if this is all US or just your state. What state are you in? They all have different consumer protection laws.
I have read stories similar to mine in the past, and you are the first person I have heard of getting a refund. Regardless, Im glad
somebody did.

I just got mine 2013 sedan performance package a long list of stuff I will send if you pm me including two tone designs leather, 40000 km for $55900 CDN.

Looking at your car it is far less damaged than a 2003 E I had that essentially had the front end ripped off it from just in front of the left front tire across to the right headlight. Parts were $28000 CDN - no aftermarket parts allowed. They had to take the rear window out to replace the headliner after the overhead airbag went off. Only issue is the shop did not have the right bench to straighten the front rails 100% so it had a minor tendency to drift slightly left over a mile on a straight flat road. A shop with the right tools can do miracles.

Quick update in case this happens to anyone else - I could only get the offer up to ~$39k on my own. They rely on some garbage CCCOne market valuation report, which is based on 3 recent sale "comps" and is riddled with errors. I still wasn't happy and was told my only other option was for us each to hire independent appraisers who would then work together to determine market value. Long story short I ended up getting just over $44k, which is way more than I expected. Not sure if that option is specific to my insurer and/or state, but worth looking into if you end up in my situation!

Just got the check and have my eye on a sedan in Charlotte NC. Hopefully will get a PPI scheduled on Monday, anyone have good shop recommendations in Charlotte?http://www.metrolinaautogroup.com/20...NC_5142316.veh

Based on prices up here in the great white north for 2013 sedans at anywhere from $50000-58000 CDN ($37500-$43500US) you did pretty well. Good luck filing the void.
