S4 fanboy in this thread
I stumbled upon this thread on the Audi forum. Is this guy for real? I think he is trolling that his tuned A4 can keep up with a C63...

You would need to do some serious work to an A4 (even with a 3.0t) to come even close to competing with a tuned C63 (with exhaust nonetheless) from a roll. I call BS here. Unless of course there are additional mods to that A4 that are not being disclosed.

There are several morons in play here, but this is my personal favorite:
Cos a) he acts like sound is the only reason to buy a car and then b) shows he has a tin ear.

It's actually an S4 and posted in the S4 forum even though he says A4.
I came form an S4 and they do respond well to tuning - no comparison car wise, the C63 is such a better car in every way, I liked my S4, I love my C63, they are in a totally different class - S4 guys think they all have RS4's and that they compete with M3's and C63's where they really have 335i or C45 type competition.
My tuned 335i will give my C63 a run also, but is still a 335i. Put a tune on the C63 (which is also about half the price of the S4 tunes) and it will walk that S4 (That and the B8 S4 has lots of reliability issues, was afraid of it, DSG's had a lot of issues, 3.0T drinks oil and a lot where rebuilt under warranty for consumption issues.)

I have had the pleasure of running a few S4's / RS5's. They are nice to look at......the big NA engine in the C63 is a marvel, totally linear power. Really I had no issues pulling on any of them.

With Turbo Upgrades the N54's make 500+ Wheel. They are very quick cars. But as you mentioned they are relatively uncommon.

335's have a lot more tuning options, I make about 400 change HP and TQ at the wheels, E85 a bit more - guys are making close to 500 WHP on stock turbo frames and as high as 700 on aftermarket turbos - S4 is stuck at a tune a pulley right now and might get close to 400 awhp but they are not making much more than that and there is not a good supercharger upgrade option. I am not too afraid of a tuned S4, but watch out for those N54's for sure.

I raced 2 heavily modified S4's in the track and beat both of them by about 0.3 seconds or so. Both guys had upgraded superchargers, headers, exhaust, .. etc.
I only had headers + OE tune on my car. My Airboxes were US OEM with charcoal. My street tires were mismatched and bad as well. No LSD or whatsoever. While the may look nice, they're not on the same level as the AMG imo.
Funny, someone posted the race on YouTube

S4 guys should worry about the cla45 amg, it is faster stock and modifies pretty well or even a C450, but they don't play on this level, the C63 was a major upgrade to my modified B8 S4.

People always laughed me off here when I would say my FBO 135i would give my tuned c63 a run for it's money. Just hard to tell someone a $15k car can keep up with their AMG.
However, Audi's generally are slower than the counterpart minus the rs7. I've had an RS4 and it was fun, amazing in the snow, and really nice to look at but wasn't the c63 and my 135i would have no problem outrunning it.
