Australia - full page colour ad for these in a national weekend paper magazine. Not supposed to be out in Europe until January 2017 and USA March 2017 so Australia would normally be 2018 because we are always last to get it. No mention of them on the Michelin AU website - strange.

I wonder if Discount Tire will send me these in a future warranty claim for my current PSS's

did your tires not live up to their mileage?

Lol! Seriously? No. Like a lot of folks on this forum, the most mileage I have gotten out of rear tires is 5500 miles. Originally Posted by hyperion667

No, I do not go around spinning tires but spirited acceleration does wear the tires quickly in city traffic due torque the car puts out.

Damn it, everytime I come across your posts I get distracted of whatever you wrote.. Your car is just marvelous. Just let me place a dumb question from outside the topic.. Yours didn't come with the Aero Package, right?Originally Posted by C63amg Tokyo
Interested to hear feed back from trusted members on here once these are released. Sad to see the PSS die but let's see how these hold up. For now here's a link to a press release.http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article...ss-Release.htm

Michelin is already out of 275/30-19 apparently. So unless you find them in stock at a retailer you're likely SOL.Originally Posted by AMG3.2

The only put it up against the Continental Extreme Contact DW when the true competitor is Contact Sport. Which Pirelli PZero - there are so many variations of that tyre - some excellent and others seemingly just a name marketing exercise. Hopefully one of the Euro testers will do a real evaluation.

Michelin is emphasizing that this is NOT a winter tire. The description on Tirerack includes this attention-getting warning:
Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

I saw that too. While I always switch to winter tires when its consistently below 45F, there are always the random days in spring or fall when it's been 70 all week and you wake up and it's 20F outside. I still drive to work or run errands. I'm sure the PS4S is a great tire. And I'll definitely consider it for my next set, especially since I no longer see cold weather. I do wonder just how true that winter warning statement is though.

I guess they changed the warning then. I just remember it used to warn us about freezing temps and ice and snow. I don't remember any part about compound cracking. But that makes sense that they would change it.
They have some decent articles in their tire tech section.
