I was changing my tires today, and noticed something odd. The shop kept telling me this is normal, but I doubt it. I am just being stupid?

What are you even talking about? The bend in the sway bar? Normal.

You're talking about the scrapes on the sway bar? I'm having trouble getting oriented, but scrapes most certainly are not normal.

No it is not "normal". It is clear somebody has had an encounter with something harder than the steel.

What's directly above the scrapes? Did the car "bottom out"?

Has the car been picked up by forks ever? I have seen marks like that from car that have been fork lifted.

Am I blind? OP -- What specifically in the picture are you talking about? Describe it for us. Because if you're wondering about what I think you are, and everyone is talking about the little lines (which honestly just look like dirt that has been wiped off...)

Nvm. Blew it up. Something just rubbed on it at some point. It's fine.

That's looking down from the top of the wheel well. Nothing should rub the sway bar there. Unless it's just dirt that has been rubbed off by someone pulling down on it to check the endlink.
