all electrical system error, input appreciated

Today all my dashboard lights came on after putting the car in p then d at a light. Its almost as of the system check is not cleared as the lights illumed are the ones that turns on before you start the engine.

The car drives, but power steering, abs, cruise control, esp are not functional. pedals are also hard.

The car was serviced just the day before. I provided the service center my own oil filter that came with the mobil oil I order. it was heist instead of oem. can a wrong oil filter cause this problem?

if not, I did some research and it all points to some sort of sensor breaking, possiblily the crankshaft position sensor?

car is going back to the shop tomorrow, and i just want to be more knowledgable as the dealership is probably going to give me a hard time under warranty.

fyi, car is 09 with 50k miles.

any input in appreciated, thank you!

One thing you can check is your serpentine belt has not broken. I don't think it can be related to the oil filter but it is possible that something was damaged during the oil change. Check also that the oil filter cover is properly installed and tightened down and that you have no leaks from the drain plug.

I assumed the battery is fine, because I turned the car on and off a few times after the incident. sound system and nav works normal, it doesnt feel like lack of voltage.

So today I started the car and all lights went off besides the check engine light. Power steering, all system came back.

I scanned it with the obd2 scanner, and 6 codes repeats of
u0121 Lost Communication With Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module
P2158 Vehicle Speed Sensor "B"

The car is now working with the cel on. I dropped it at the shop.

Please share if anyone has shared similar experience?

I guess no one has experience this?

One thing I noticed before the car broke down is that the rpm is not stable when cruising. It would kind of flicker. Is this possibly related?

I'm having the same issue with my 12 C300 but I will take it to the dealer today. Have you figured it out yet?

i am having the same issue, the car is back to the shop round 2. I have ABS ESP INOP, Cruise control INOP, SRS Malfunction, and runflat indicator. It seems like one or 2 codes would go away and come back everytime i turned the car on to play around with it.

Got the same codes on my code reader.

This is a) not filter related, b) a function of a wheel sensor failure or any other minor issue. You would know if the belt was gone because the alternator would stop and flash a CEL or similar warning.
It is more serious and systemic.
