C63 BS Seat??
Hello all,
New to the MB world. My Mom has worked for a MB dealer for 35+ years so I am very familiar with the brand growing up with them but personally I have been a 911 guy until now.
I had the opportunity to pick up a 2012 C63 BS with Track Package. I have only had it for 2 days and I am really enjoying it.
Looking at all the videos and reviews of the car, I really like the Euro seats. The US Spec ones just don't do the car justice.
Anyone know how to order them or what I can do to get a set??
I never leave well enough alone so I am sure I will be on here often looking on what the best mods are to push a little more out of the M156.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Brad

Welcome to the board. If you do a search, this has been discussed before. In short - they are practically impossible to find, and crazy expensive. Better bet would be to put in some Recaros.

I've been looking for a set for about 2-3 months now and yes...they're impossible to find. lol. They were an option on an already rare car so coming across a set from a salvaged car is hard to find.
The best option I've found so far is to have a set of Recaro Pole Positions customized to match the original EU buckets. Only issue I've read about are some error codes that are thrown for some reason. <- not sure if there's any truth to that...just something I recently read.

What tires do you guys run?? I have always been a Michelin guy but they don't make a match set. I really was thinking Cup2's would be perfect but they don't make 255' for the front. And they don't make 285's in a Super Sport. Does everyone stick with the Dunlops??
Thanks.
Thanks.

Some tire info here. I was running 245/285 Dunlop Sport Maxx Race earlier in the year, but have switched to MPSC2 255/295 now. Set matches perfectly.

Congrats on an epic car purchase. Yes, the factory euro seats are a pipe dream for us and I've heard of similar code issues with aftermarket ones as well. I track my CBS fairly often and fortunately I've never felt the seats to be an issue. The use of the dead pedal really helps.
As for mods, I really like my setup, which is;
Eurocharged Tune
weistec filters with ROW air boxes
Mike's power pipe
Stock rear wheels widened to 11.5 inches (Dads C63's old wheels)
I can't comment on tires as I can run PSS with the wider wheels.

Are the C63 BS Seats the same as the CLK63 BS Seats? If so, then they're just RECARO Pole Positions.
Cheaper to just buy those with the Weistec Brackets, can just have them reupholstered in whatever fashion you wnat.
However, not sure how the Seat Occupancy Sensors and all those sensors will be like, not sure if you'll throw an airbag code though. I'm sure if your shop is half-way competent, they can rig something up to work.

I ran these in my E46 M3 when I had aftermarket seats and they were totally trouble free.

Not sure what other sensors would be tied to the seat.

You can run an emulator that basically tells the computer someone is sitting there even when someone isn't sitting there. The downside is that your car will deploy all passenger airbags even if someone isn't there which would obviously make any repair more expensive should you be in an accident.
