Comand Shutoff

Comand Shutoff
In almost all my previous MB cars playing the audio system while washing and detailing the car with the ignition off and it was simlpy a matter of putting it on and it would play for 15-20 minutes and then I could turn it back on and repeat. Occassionally I would have to start the engine to reset it but it always played for 15-20 minutes.
In this recently acquire 2013 C63 AMG it seems to want to shutdown in 2 minutes.
There is nothing I can see in the Comand manual about adjusting this.
Does anyone know how this gets changed or is this a dealer thing?

I looked into it a few years ago. Nothing to be done. As my cars are always on float chargers when they're in the garage though, I've discovered that if Comand is seeing (my guess) probably 12.9-13V as a full charge condition then the audio will play for a half hour no problem and that's with a powered subwoofer in the trunk pounding away. Starting out with anything less than full battery charge, even if only 0.15V you might only get a few minutes of play before it shuts down. Comand is going to make sure your car will start under any conditions.

The car was in the shop for a full inspection and service update last week. I asked them to look into this and any ECU issues and updates.
They updated the ECU and the Comand software (he had to order a disc) and the thing ran for 15 minutes with the car off before I shut it down. It apparently can be addressed this way.
