Sadly there are no updates for my car. It's still in the shop and they're doing tests but can't figure anything out.

They replaced ALL the hoses and gaskets and yes it did, they also cleaned the MAF sensors.
Yes it did fix the problem.
Apparently a leak can cause the car to run rich and cause missfires in the cylinder if the leak is big enough.
If it was a headbolt issue the car wouldnt have these symptoms.
FWIW I think a vacuum leak essentially makes the O2 sensors panic and add more fuel, but it's usually not enough to mask the problem and so the engine actually runs lean to the point where's it's all rough and horrid. Same difference I suppose, ie it's still a fuelling issue, but just thought I'd share

Still, it's fixed now, so you can go make some skids on damp roundabouts
