Did fixing the leak (replace hoses and gasket) fix the CEL/rough idle/power loss/weird exhaust sound and everything else?
or is there more to it than the leak?

Thanks for the update!

Sadly there are no updates for my car. It's still in the shop and they're doing tests but can't figure anything out.

They replaced ALL the hoses and gaskets and yes it did, they also cleaned the MAF sensors.
Yes it did fix the problem.
Apparently a leak can cause the car to run rich and cause missfires in the cylinder if the leak is big enough.
If it was a headbolt issue the car wouldnt have these symptoms.

Great news Faz! That's a relief for sure!

FWIW I think a vacuum leak essentially makes the O2 sensors panic and add more fuel, but it's usually not enough to mask the problem and so the engine actually runs lean to the point where's it's all rough and horrid. Same difference I suppose, ie it's still a fuelling issue, but just thought I'd share

Still, it's fixed now, so you can go make some skids on damp roundabouts

did not...after changing the o2 sensors, i reset my computer and all was well. pretty much reset my computer before every startup for 2 days until i could get my car into shop for o2 replacement. after about 1-2 drive cycles the faulty o2 sensor would go from reading fine to falling way off according to my UltraGauge. seems like it would lock at the last value so then that bank would just continue o2 correction based off that last value before the computer began ignoring the faulty sensor. in the case of larger injectors this caused very poor running conditions.
