Resonator Delete with XPipe HELP
Hello all I am fairly new to the W204 but not new to forums so let me first say I did try to search, but was not able to find an exact answer to my question. If there is a post I missed please point me to it.
Today I replaced the resonator with an xpipe and I feel like the car is not as loud at higher RPMs. Is this possible or am I justt paranoid. I can say my car sounds nothing like some of the videos who claim to have done the same mod.
Thanks in advance!

Do you still have secondary cats?

I'm assuming I need to delete the secondary cats also, but the exhaust threads I have read argue on what makes sense full straight or secondary cat delete plus x pipe or secondary car delete plus h pipe. Am I'm still confused why my car sounds less loud than other with just the xpipe resonator delete.

You didn't need an xpipe, your reso is an hpipe and is where the AMG bark is born....if you want the same sound, just louder then remove xpipe, reinstall reso and remove secondary cats....boom

I would agree with that. Same sound but more of it.

I did that a month or so ago. Sounds the same around town, just louder when you get on the mash. Good old AMG growl is still there.

um, no....have you ever seen the inside of the C63 resonator? It is already a straight pipe with integral crossover/balance tube(h-pipe).....there is a 1.5" section where there is perforation, ie the AMG bark's birthplace.....removing the resonator nets you literally ZERO increase in sound volume, other than removing the bark the only thing it does is quite possibly REDUCE the volume you already have.....it is far easier to lose the 2nds and give it a try like that, then if you want to try what LOTS of us have already done(and undone afterwards) you can lose the resonator....best to lose one piece at a time when trying to find what you like as opposed to having to guess what to add back when you dont like what you end up with

Valid points. People should try this method makes sense, which is exactly what I did. I removed the resonators alone and noticed a very noticeable increase in not only volume but bark as well. The downshifts were much more noticeable and it actually cured my highway drone, I know weird huh. Though I am fully catless so my experience is not universal for all applications.
Touché....
