Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am so excited I'm almost beside myself, kind of like a kid at Christmas... I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it.. I've been looking at these cars since about August or September and started saving pretty heavily about 4 months ago. I even picked up a second job working in a restaurant on the weekends to save extra money. I've looked at more cars than I can count. If you knew me you'd know that I tend to obsess with things that I became passionate about and my motto is to either go big or stay home. So to find a car with every single option I wanted.. in the color and price range.. I about fell out of my chair on Thursday when the dropped the price down 6k. I actually made an offer on this car about a month ago and they refused..I even tried to get my local dealership to do a trade for me but Lynnwood wouldn't go for it. I had all but given up on it but couldn't get it out of my head and keep checking back ever so often.

Just so you understand I come from a some what poor family. I'm the only one to have a college degree. My parents never had a new car. They were and still are garage sale, Kmart, and goodwill store people..and there is nothing wrong with that because they are good, honest, hard working people who are content. I've tried to buy them nice things over the years but they are just not interested in those things. Growing up this way instilled in me an insatiable drive and ambition to achieve. I joined the Air Force right out of High School because I knew education was the key to a better life and growing up in a small town in Michigan it was never going to happen. That has been the greatest decision I have ever made. I spent 10 years in the military and earned a Bachelors degree and that lead to my current position as a DOD civilian. I've made sacrifices along the way, lived places I greatly disliked, because I knew it would one day open doors for me. I am currently working on a Masters degree.. paid for by my employer... just amazing. I never would have thought that I would one day be buying an almost new Mercedes... it blows my mind when I think about it. I am truly blessed and very thankful. I hope that I can contribute to this forum in a meaningful way.

I am going to throw this out there.. there are several of us who are going to make a donation to charity after I complete the purchase of this car. Its a nice way to give back and help your fellow man. If anyone else would like to join us it would be a nice gesture. I haven't decided which one yet but I'm leaning toward a veterans charity so many of those guys come back messed up an forgotten about.

Looks exactly like mine I got in September. It is under warranty and CPO. Ask to see all service records and look for neglect vs. just late. If they will CPO it it will be fine and you get an extended warranty with CPO for 1 yr past the factory warranty and when that runs out and you plan to keep the car you can extend that.
Just go buy it if the price works for you. At $43000 USD that translates to about $56000 CDN. I paid $55000 for mine with about 10000 miles less on the odometer last September so the price is reasonable. Maybe offer them $39000 and see what they say. Great looking car but then again I am prejudiced.

The Canadian dollar is weak. Any C63 is dirt cheap up there as is pretty much any other performance car. You can save a good amount buying a canadian car.

Definitely do the road trip if you can. I flew one-way to Newport Beach in May 2014 and drove my car back to NYC over the following 3 months. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

 

You're right about the Avantgarde being a lowering option.
I looked so many times at my car wondering if it's even possible that this is the ride height from the factory.
I'm going to try top ask in the AMG private lounge for them to compare the features of the Avantgarde springs with the P30.

Not yet. Its going to be a few weeks before I can make arrangements to fly up and get it. Its about 1500 miles away.
