what if we like the way the factory car sounds and just want more power? what is the deal with the log manifold on eBay for like 700 bucks? anyone dyno them over stock?
I can't justify spending 5 grand in an exhaust setup when the factory setup sounds perfect to me.

Kleeman LTH can be found on eBay brand new for 2200 shipped. For that price the Kleemans are a better bet then FI.
To to be honest, Dispite what members say on here. Agency Power / MBH / ARH / FI / IPE / Kleeman all make the same power on the C63. All within 5 HP of each other.
get whichever one you feel comfortable getting and your good to go. You won't have any issues with any of these brands.

^ That's the most reasonable thing said in this whole thread
You can smash headers in with a sledgehammer and it doesn't make a bit of difference. Just get whatever's most convenient. Any stainless headers you buy will outlast the car anyway.

OK, who wants to be the guinea pig? I was searching IPE headers for the C63 and this comes up. I'm guessing Xforce is Chinese, but the price is amazing and they come from Summit who will stand behind their products. Oh, and they come with high flow CATS with a 2 bolt flange.

EDIT: A little more searching, looks like this is an Australian company, so it's probably better to call Summit and ask if they will fit US vehicles.

"Aussie" company but not made in Australia - I believe it is China. In Oz they gouge us with a price of US$1,680.00!

I went with MBH setup due to all positive reviews. I did not come across one negative feedback. The welds on these things are unbelievable. I guess go with what your budget is.
After all, it is bunch of steel pipes welded together. Designs are different but not too different where you will run 9's at the track.

No. The thread is called "C63 W204 - Long Tube Headers - Suggestions and Questions". Ideally, albeit perhaps it's asking too much, new people will find this thread and read the comments to learn something about their options.
I think it's important that these new people know to research MBH, and any other company, heavily before deciding whether they want to give the company several thousand dollars for a set of headers.

UPDATE: Just had the FI headers installed!
First off, the quality is great, no issues, no bad welds, honestly, I am fairly particular and they were more or less flawless. The shop whom installed (where I have taken all my cars the past 6 years) was impressed with the build quality and continued to call them "high end". All in all - great product from a build and material quality perspective.
Installation: Took 8 hours, there were multiple things (e.g., break pads, oil change, rotors, tires) being done on the car at a given time, I can not say exactly how long it took for the FI LTH install as a stand alone project. No issues with install, no missing parts, no nonsense. The parts were there and they simply needed to be installed.
After the FI LTH were installed, my mechanic called me and asked if they should be "LOUD", they thought a "shot gun went off in the shop on cold start". They were worried they installed something wrong but could not even fathom what it would be as it was a straight forward installation.
None the less, drove home from the shop (roughly 4 miles) and here we are...
Sound: The FI LTH (I assume all LTH) are LOUD, VERY LOUD. Truly an amazing sound, put a smile on my face; however, they are loud... and could become an issue later down the line? Did I mention they are LOUD.
Thoughts / Questions: I had the secondary cats removed as part of the install, as well the OEM resonators... The shop mentioned they could custom fit the OEM resonators into the system, if I wish.
Any suggestions for potential sound reduction, other than purchasing valved mufflers? Adding high flow secondary cats? adding back the oem resonator?
Any thoughts or opinions on the aforementioned would be appreciated.
I have loaded the Euro-charged tune for the headers, and will go out and do some driving later in the week once the weather clears - it is 34 and raining...
Will post pictures of the install and videos of sound at a latter point when life allows.
All in all - thank you Auto Talent...

Congrats - aren't headers one of the best things in the world?
If you want it quieter, valved mufflers is really the only realistic option. Or you could weld in another set of resonators, but the OEM resonators don't make a whole lot of difference.
Don't put secondary cats back in just to quiet things down, that defeats a lot of the purpose here of freeing up the exhaust. Those secondary cats are power robbers.
Did primary cats come with the FI headers, or is it straight pipe all the way back to the mufflers now? Do you have an x-pipe or h-pipe in there somewhere, because that can knock the sound down a bit and make it mellower as well.

Congrats on the headers. My shop also described the first startup as a shotgun going off.
It sounds mental now.
I have the resonators still on the car, and it is very loud.
The only way to make it quiet is to fit a Valvetronic rear section to your exhaust system.

I kept my resonators on when I had the FI LT Headers installed. I posted videos of my car with cold startup, driving in S+ and driving in C. When I drive in C it is not that bad. Not overly loud like it is in S+.

Haha. I pulled my dashcam footage after the install. The shop started it and everyone yelled "F*CK! Is that idle?! There's no way you can drive that on the street." And then it quieted down a little and they gave it a little tickle and someone asked "was that a hard rev?!" And the dude said "nah man, that's like 3000!" Haha. I love when cold start scares people. I did try to be a good neighbor and got the cold start delete with the v6 tune. It didn't work. They said cold start is probably hard coded into my ecu
