Considering C63 - coming for CLK55
Greetings,
I currently drive a 2002 CLK55 which I love - but its getting up there and showing its age. I bought it used 8 years ago and it has been an amazing car. I'm starting to think about my next AMG and the C63 is on my radar. While I'd love the coupe I'm intrigued but the extra room in the sedan as well as the price of 2009-2011 model. A couple questions.
1. Has anyone gone this route (CLK55 to C63) and were they happy (I'm guessing yes ).
2. How dos the trunk space compare between these 2. A google search reveals the C63 is 182-186 in long. The CLK55 is 180 in. Just looking at the car, the back seats don't look overly roomy like the larger E or S class. Is the trunk smaller because if this? I really do no need about the same trunk space as what I have in my CLK55.
thanks for any info!

And it looks like the cargo capacity of the clk55 is 10.4cf. So you'll have more space.

Just do your research for the prefacelift stuff. Biggest problem is headbolt issue and is about $3k...which you could potentially use on a newer 63. Make sure the headbolts are done for sure.

Will do thanks. I defintiely will be checking into the headbolt issue.
Do you know if folks get that repair done even if it has not failed? Unless you are under warranty it will cost you a fortune. I'm doubtful it would be covered for fixing if it hasn't failed yet.
