Code P0106

Code P0106 (Powertrain Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure) has become now a couple of times, after resetting, stays away for some time.
The second time, also became P1915 code.

Something ideas which could cause code?

Probably need a new MAP ((Intake) Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. It reads the barometric pressure when the engine is off and the pressure(FI)/vacuum in the manifold when the engine is running. Located at the passenger side front of the intake manifold. Check the electrical connection as well as its seat into the grommet on the manifold.

Mine just went off and I cleared it... we’ll see.

How did your story end?

bad sensor, vacuum leak (sensor is saying range is bad because it is), vacuum line leak causing sensor to have false reading, compression / cam timing issue. first 3 are definitely going to be the norm.

So with my bad cam adjusters pretty much I'm going to continue to have that until I rebuild them?

i'd pursue the first 3 since those are most likely and dont require taking the engine apart.

I've tried three different sensors. One that came on the brand new intake. The one that was on my old intake that I know worked. And a new one. I've also vacuum tested it and it reads fine until the engine starts and then it just kind of freeze frames. I've checked my five bolt reference. My ground. My signal to the ECM. All good. I've smoked tested the intake and spread carb cleaner all passed. I've also smoke tested the exhaust to make sure there wasn't a leak before an O2 sensor. All good. It is tuned for what I was told from previous owner it does purple when you get off the gas. It is a p-31 and I did put a non p31 intake on I don't know if that's the issue or not.

ML350 Bluetec 2012
Hello. Just purchased 2012 ML350 Bluetec, drove it home ~800 miles no big problems but the engine light came on mid trip. Did not have a scanner yet but now that I have it, I get this 123900 Code. Cold starts are rough but then it seems to kind of sort itself out. First appears like engine acting ok but transmission not, doesn't want to shift. But, no, not normal. Reading with interest about similar problems but do i see a solution ?
