1: remove emblems
2: paint emblems
3: reinstall emblems

$5 depending on paint used. I used VHT NIGHT SHADES, the tail tight tint stuff and it came out great as a black chrome.

What did you use to re-attach them?

3m double sided tape. Just use some painters tape and mark where the emblems go so you can put them back on in the right spot. Emblem replacement-photo310.jpg

Or you could use plastidip black for a matte black finish. You can add plastidip glossifier to make it as glossy as you want. Benefit is you don't have to remove them mask them off nothing. If you get tired of it, you peel it off done deal.
