I'm trying to buy a set of the carbon fiber seat back covers from Boca Design.de I contacted them through their Facebook page and they quoted me a price of $700. I asked me to send payment via paypal.. its a little unusual but ok. They said they would send an invoice 2 days ago.. I reminded them twice to send it but nothing. Then just a few min ago I get a message though their FB page that says sent. So I check and its a request from Lee Mei Yi for $700.00. Who is that ?? Nothing about Boca.. I sent a message asking for an actual invoice from Boca and got no reply.. This whole transaction has me concerned..
Has anyone bought directly from them before ?? Anyone ever heard of a Lee Mei Yi ?? I was expecting something from Boca or at least a German name.. I know most of this stuff is made in China so maybe its direct ??
I can't help with this Lee Mei Yi fella but Boca Design is based in Hong Kong and the only official distributor that I personally know off is a company in Germany called Carbonfibre Dynamics. I've used the German company twice for Boca parts and have been very happy with them. Send them a email, maybe they can help. Hope it all works out buddy.
a few years ago i emailed boca directly from their website and got a response. paid them directly (not sure if it was paypal or what) and received the products within a week. i tried emailing them again to buy some more stuff about a year later, but never got a response again.
Here was my thought process.. I contacted Boca through their FB page.. they are based in HK. The person who responded was most likely a rep from their company. They did not solicit me I solicited them. I put the charge on my Credit Card. IF the deal goes south I will do a charge back and I know that the CC companies will always side with the buyer and not the seller. I've been a merchant before and know the process. So was it a risk ? Yes.. but others have bought directly from them before and been ok. I'll take a risk .. knowing that there is a chance I could lose out but a better chance that I will be protected if it goes bad.
BOCA is a legitimate company. They supply many companies in Europe and in the US (some of them are here on the forum ).
Their parts are of highest quality and very light.
But they rarely sell directly to customers - so if they sent you an invoice, you are lucky
I ordered a few CF diffusers, lips and spoilers from them a few years ago.
I had their CF seatbacks, too and it was my least favorite part. The fitment isn't perfect.
My seatbacks & trunk spoiler are from BOCA, but I bought them from member Harrower when he used to be a BOCA distributor.
I've dealt with Revozport directly but never with BOCA directly. I did emailed Jaspen from BOCA a few times & he was very responsive.. They have well made CF parts & are the major manufacturer in China. My bet is u will be ok, they are legit & won't scam u for 700$US.
Well after waiting patiently for about 3 weeks they finally arrived and I could not be happier. All total it was $700 shipped to my door from HK.. Just go to the Boca FB page and send a message to order.

The fit is pretty good. The only place that I think it could fit better is on the sides by the buttons but overall its 8 out of 10. They look fantastic in real life.

I agree about the area near the buttons, mine is not aligning well in that area (mostly the passenger seat, driver seat is better). Not very noticeable unless u look for it.
