Can anyone take a look at a C63 in Mesa, AZ?
I am interested in purchasing a C63, however I would really appreciate if somebody can drop by, test drive it and give me some feedback. I'll be happy to compensate for your time, etc.
It's located in Mesa, AZ.
Please PM for link, I just had a vehicle sold out from under me due to sharing a link publicly and would not want to do it again...lol
Thanks for your time,
Nick

Here's the car. I noticed the drivers door looks a bit "off". Is it me, or has this thing had a new door put on it...and paid cash so it stays off carfax?

Thanks for the link, I just got to the dealer and am buying it today.

Door definitely looks repainted.

Looks like the driver door is Calcite white while the car is Polar White, probably something happened to the door and previous owner bought a used painted one.

lol...my heart dropped. I am a little uneasy about the door being repainted, but nothing a good body shop can't get corrected. I would prefer a mint C63...however given the price. It seems to good to be true, and just need a C63 owner, or anybody to touch it and drive it. I'm not wasting my time, and don't want to fly out there to find out it's a ragged out C. It appears clean, with the exception of the door.

I did notice the surface reflection was different. It was probably cheaper. Any different between non-AMG doors (safety, weight, etc?)

Ya that door is 100% not original paint or a different door for sure and was not blended with surrounding panels if it was painted. I am guessing it wasn't something major as the back door, fender and rocker all look right, so looks like they had the door painted maybe for some minor damage but it would make me crazy that it was that off color wise, would need painted before I would buy it.

Also AMG logo on wheels is incorrect indicating that they are 507 replicas not OEM wheels - anyone else think that, pretty sure on the OEM ones, the right side of the A is vertical and has no angle to it.

I do like this car, but too many flags. Dealers want non-refundable $500 deposit. I'm not going to do that, then spend $250 for a PPI's. If it fails, dealer gets my $500 and they get a free PPI. If a member could roll out and check it out, like I said, I'd be more comfortable having a C63/AMG guy drive it for a bit and give me some feedback. The guy didn't seem too concerned about the totally mis-matched door, seems like the camera picked it up just fine...he said it's not really noticeable...I'm not sure it would fly with me

No one would pay to have a door repainted and in a different shade of white than the car. 99% sure OEM door had a pretty big dent and previous owner replaced it with the door off a calcite white C63/C300

I do like the fact that is has the LSD.
What is everyone's thoughts on it? Would you pull the trigger on it and go down the non-refundable deposit? They claim 2 others are highly interested, but no deposit. The low price certainly helps the case, but it could also be a sales tactic. Sure, it's got some weird stuff going on but other than that, nothing that can't be corrected. I got the carfax, it seems to have a solid service history, 3 owners and called the local dealers. Brake pads (F+R) just replaced

Wonder if it was a door taken off a calcite white C63 or if maybe the body shop that the previous owner used accidentally used the wrong paint code when repainting it.
I'd try and get a bit of a discount based on that, but I know used car dealers don't really negotiate that much. They'll also say absolutely anything to get you there and to make the sale so don't even bother asking them anything imo. i'd gladly check the car out for you if it were local to me, but hopefully someone comes through to help you out.
not sure if the regional section is that active, but it might be worth starting a thread there and just linking it to this thread.

The seller just got back to me. He claims it doesn't look mis-matched in person. I can't help but argue that it does look different.

I texted my wife a picture of the car and asked "What doesn't match". She immediately said "drivers door".
This one is not for me
Thanks again for all your help. I'm happy you all chimed in. I owe you all one single beverage.

It's unfortunate, it may be a good car, but that is some Maaco type paint work, there are lots around, it is priced at market, a bit modified, non oem wheels, who knows if the brakes were painted correctly, you can find another for the money that will be better.
