HMS fenders thread

Attention speedlimit

The post was 25 pages long and dates back to last year why would you delete it??
It was the only decent thread for the last year that has so much information that's it's like a book

This forum is getting worse and worse and now this

Seriously who ever is in charge needs to reinstate this

Its still here, not sure where you was looking haha. It does look like they have closed the thread though.

I'm 100% with Brad here. Why can't members create a Group Buy, when there is no commercial benefit to anyone, and the product is something that simply isn't available from a vendor? Those seem to be the determining conflicting factors that I would understand a rule for. The HMS fenders shouldn't make anyone upset because there are no other easily accessible options on the market.

Yeah, but if you notice he said "group buys not by vendors aren't allowed." and locked it down.

But, you know, new "sponsors" like PK Design or whatever can literally annihilate the forum with spam on every subsection when there are specific vendor sections and nobody blinks an eye. God forbid members go out of their way to help others in big ways.

A place for enthusiasts... right.

With you too on this one, Brad.

Not sure why it got closed down but I am working with (Speedlimit) to find a solution.

The thread had hours of research, planning and discussion. Even if the HMS wide fenders wasn't available at certain times, it was a great platform to discuss widening C63 fenders in general.

The 1st Group Buy was a success and opened the doors to many ideas and other options. I hope we can find a quick resolution soon.

Yeah "Ernst V Bauer" had a great thread! I actually wasn't planning on widening my fenders any time soon if at all but I loved popping in and seeing the potential and I learned a lot of relevant information about my car. I believe this is the second good thread that I have personally enjoyed and that has been removed in the past week. Custom Headers thread also got removed for similar reasons.

A fender thread of that nature was great because not only did it shed light on wide fenders, but fenders in general. And with the standard offsets on a c63 and what we can work with things can get a little complex if you're going for a specific look. A lot of people come in wanting to get a really deep concave wheel (like what M cars can pull off) and quickly find that's not an option. HMS thread really laid some things out nicely.
