Facelift Headlights w/ PreFacelift Bumper?

Good afternoon,

Just wondering if anyone has done a Facelift Headlight swap on a PreFacelift bumper? I have only seen 1 photo of this but it was a C350 and I cannot for the life of me find the photo again. I have searched for 2 days now, and nothing on the topic.

Does anyone know if the FL headlamps will fit the PFL bumper? I know I will need a hood, but I like the PFL bumper I have.

Edit: I think the topic of my post got lost, I am not looking at the headlight swap, I know how to do it. I am asking about retaining the old bumper when doing the swap. I found plenty of info online for the facelift headlamp swap.

Thanks!

Okay well for anyone wondering, I have looked at what the FL bumper on a PFL car looks like and that bumper hangs about a little over half an inch more forward, meaning that the FL headlights on a stock PFL bumper would hang over about just that. Body work would have to be done at that point (trying to avoid that).

I was just wondering if anyone has seen it done and if so by whom. In for updates if anyone has any.

FYI this has been discussed here before. Try searching it. For one, you will obviously need a new hood.

Same reason why nobody answered him for the same question on the Facebook group. Abit of common sense can see the hood and fenders are different to start with plus the rest.

I have seen pics of FL bumper on PFL lights and vice versa.
Fenders are the same. I believe the issue is to get the FL light working properly.

The amount of $ for actual FL headlights is not worth it. Depo's are the way to go. Even if you did want to spend the money, the wiring and getting everything to function is a pain (other threads of members trying). The conversion is possible, but you will need some parts.

Before you start with the headlights I would update the ugly mirror covers. If that is you car in the pic.

I have Xenons already. It wouldn't be too expensive to swap, maybe 2-3k.

I feel like you guys didn't even read the post, I specifically stated I knew I needed a new hood. Just wondered if anyone had done it and could show pictures of it. I have searched it and looked everywhere, believe it or not.

The ballasts are 90 each, the harness and interior switch adapters are 200 from EU, and the headlamps from the dealer (my price) are 750 each side. Total after install wouldn't be too bad considering I get a quality headlight and the look I want.

After discovering the gap size between the headlamps, I might ditch the idea because it would require some body work to the front bumper.

I think the topic of my post got lost, I am not looking at the headlight swap, I know how to do it. I am asking about retaining the old bumper when doing the swap. I found plenty of info online for the facelift headlamp swap.

If you aren't getting answers, it probably means no one has done it. You might have to be the first to try it out.

It was not worth it but here are photos from it. I’m in a FL 14 now.

These are genuine xenon internals retrofitted into an aftermarket housing.

looks great

yeah so I was told by a guy who did a full FL conversion

he goes

“I drove some time with the PFL BUMPER on

with The FL lights and hood”

just no photos

I wonder how bad the gaps are, but he made it seem like it wasn’t a thing
