They look strange for a C63 amg, normally they have a different shape to them?

Awesome thread! Did you try posting this in the AMG GTS and SLK forums too?

Just fooling, never mind. I don't know how anyone is going to know if they are a "good" header design from the pics you posted though. I'm guessing not many people know the space limitations of the SLS here, which plays into how the headers are constructed. Did you try asking in the SLS forum?

What are you trying to accomplish? And are you going to supercharge?

The Weistec set would be my choice purely based on the fact that you don't a set of cats welded directly behind your headers meaning you have the option to switch between straight pipes and catted as desired. Beyond that, they claim MUCH higher gains than Renntech does - +79whp/58wtq vs +20whp/20wtq.

Have you considered Tri-Y headers without the welded cats? MBH makes a set for the SLS. I believe gains are similar to Weistec's 4-1 but they are significantly cheaper.

Here's a good C63 thread with header types and pictures.

We have an SLS header system that I feel is in a league of its own. It's really an amazing part and a real testament to our builders fabrication skills. Not to mention a great price among other SLS header systems.

OP, how do you define better? You've asked a super broad question...does better mean more gains? Better build quality? Looks?

You can't tell much from pics aside from finish/quality/welds...are they the same size? What gains do the companies/end users claim and provide?

And why is this in the C63 forum if they are SLS headers? I'm super confused...
