What's a dual reverse?

When in Comfort mode, and in reverse gear setting, the tranny goes to a different reverse gear ratio different than Normal - TALLER. This enables you to hopefully get the car moving rather than sliding out, when on ice or snow.

This is why Alex talks about the "Comfort" mode being called "W" for "Winter" on some models of Mercedes.

I hate how the car starts in second while cold. My driveway is a hill and after I back out to turn on the street I'm not on flat and the car is starting out in second on a hill and you can feel the tranny slipping the clutch and beating it up in second trying to drive slowly.

I manually put it in first before taking off and the weird part is my car in s and s+ will start out in second gear when the engine is cold.

That's not weird. MB may have programmed the computer to do that when the engine is cold, to keep the rpm down to protect the engine. MB did a LOT of stuff like this.

Like how you cannot put it into Sport or Sport+ before its warmed.
The selector know will say it is, but its not.

I've noticed this. My first instinct when I get in the car is to switch the dial to S+. If its still cold it shifts up much faster through the gears. After it warms up it will hold the gears much higher.
