Kimi Raikkonen, CLK DTMs, and The 'Ring.
Some of you guys will know this vid just from the thread title lol, but I thought i would post it up in honour of The Iceman getting himself back into P1 for tomorrows Monaco GP. Its his first in ages, and no matter what team he is on ya just gotta like Mr Icewater.
This video was produced and paid for by Kim DotCom of MegaUpload infamy, back in the days when he was responsible for 20% of internet traffic and had more money then god. First he rounded up Raikkonen and Finn Batato. Drones weren't the thing yet, so they used choppers, rented the Ring, and took out three very hot CLK DTMs. Kim spent a lot of money that day with professional crews and I think even an original soundtrack. Just an incredible vanity project. Enjoy, and watch the pictures/credits at the end for a sense of just how big they blew this thing up to.

Agreed. Monaco is a stupid race anyway, just turns into parade laps with all the traffic. At least Button had the sense to move out of the way, but about 1/3 of that field have no business even being in F1 cars.
The worst part about the US coverage though is the broadcast team. They couldn't be worse, it's embarrassing.

As evidenced by Stroll asking how to manage his cold tires and brakes during the Safety Car. Are you kidding me? You are half a dozen races into an F1 career and you don't know what to do? How the hell did you get there?!?! Incredible. Here in Canada we can watch the SKY TV feed and the announcer was non-plused by that.

Keep an eye on Max Verstappen. He is a teenager coming in top 5 in Monaco. Regardless of what you think about the race, it is the race. Anybody who is somebody is there with the world watching.
Blows me mind.

There is a large anti-Alonso movement at Indy. They knew it wouldnt look good for him to come in and clean up.
Hamilton went flat out and said it.

Its absurd, and yet..... he does kinda have a point.

Been to the Toronto Indy a few times. It's like the trailer park version of F1.
Aaaaaaaaand failed engine for Alonso. At least he's used to the disappointment in the equipment lol.

What a total fuking travesty. Honda can't provide Alonso with an engine in either F1 or IndyCar that gets him to the end of a race.
It's just tragic really. He deserves better.

Out of Ricardo and Verstappen, i really think Ricardo is the one to watch.
Don't get me wrong, Verstappen has a truckload of serious talent, how he drove in Brazil last year was a work of art, but I think hes too impulsive, not enough patience. Maybe it will come in time.
