Leaking coolant around the reservoir. Does this look normal?
So I got the low coolant warning and I immediately started panicking!
But when I opened up the engine day I noticed that there were coolant splashes all around the reservoir so I started examining the clip going into the reservoir. After removing it the end of it looks like it might have broken off but I have no frame of reference so I don't know what it would look like normally.
Does the end of this nozzle look correct to someone who has seen this befor?

um, no....the nipple is broken off. you need to get a replacement hose with fitting and also you have to get the broken off nipple out of the female fitting in the tank. but should be a no brainer 5min job....that hose comes apart at that hose clamp in the bottom of pic

Awesome news, thanks. I was hoping it was the nipple/hose and not the reservoir that needed to be replaced.

i may be wrong about that.....i went out and looked at mine but when i went to pop the clip out the bottom part of the ring on the tank itself fell off in my hand so i chickened out on pulling the hose out. look at the bottom of the ring and see if it is still intact or if it is broken like mine...if it is broken like mine then youll need a new tank....i just ordered one off of ebay for $50ish just to safe with mine so its not like its a $500 part to replace.

Mine was like that... Except the nipple part... They replaced the entire reservoir free of charge, for me. Took like 2 hrs. in total. Don't even think it took them that long lol

yep, the tank was falling apart at the opening as well.
I ordered the tank and the dealership that just replaced my valve cover gaskets is paying for the hose part because it broke while they were doing the gasket job and they either didn't notice, or the technician didn't speak up.
$55 for the hose on ebay and $31 for the tank.
I fished out the end of the nipple by using a 3" wood screw and twisting it in gently and then pulling it out.
Ok, that just sounded wrong...
