Exactly. Decide for yourself. Hey, they have "carbon fiber" in the name, they must be awesome pads!

Continental summer tires are lightweight. Saving 2 lb per corner, at the end of the radius can be useful.

The truth is I bought a set of Centic carbon ceramic breakes and did a review of them and the self appointed experts said I would crash and burn because they did not cost 350-500 a set. They are quality brakes with great stopping power that I find superior to the factory set in both stopping power and no dust. The centric's are $100 a set which are defiantly not the cheapest but I find as good value for the money. That is the short and sweet of it..

Personally I do not trust tyre reviews.
I have only had bad experiences with Continental tyres, and only read good things about them.

I am not a fan of budget tyres, but have had some good experiences with them.
By budget, I am talking about the likes of Toyo, Yokohamas, Kuhmo and Hankook (not so budget anymore).

If those are hockey pucks, my DWS 06 would be marbles at 560. Damned things still wear out the rears at 10k miles (and 3x faster than the fronts).

I had the older ExtremeContact DWs on my STI, and they weren't hockey pucks. Compared to a set of Dunlop Star Specs, then the fastest tire for autocross, they were better in the wet, more comfortable and quieter. Dry performance may have been a bit lower, but you wouldn't notice street driving.

Here are some actual objective test results:

For the price, the Continentals are a pretty good tire. Not quite as good as the Michelins, but they do have better wet performance than the Michelins.

I heard a saying once that rings true... "never cheap out on anything that comes between you and the ground...shoes, tires, and mattresses"

Oh my, yes yes yes you would notice the difference on the road. DWS side walls literally fold when taking an onramp quickly. A few years I go, I ran DWS's back to back with Yoko S-Drives (Crap), and the Yoko's felt amazing.

But yes, they for sure are better in the wet, more comfortable, and quieter.

Should've multiquoted... whoops.

Yeah, I go back and forth between this tire and the PS4S. I just like the velvet side walls

Those numbers are irrelevant and manufacturers use them to play games. The PSS is a 300 TW; please tell me you don't claim those are hockey pucks too.

DWs, not DWSs. I had dedicated winter tires for my STI so I went with the summer only tires. I think they have stiffer sidewalls, and a different tread pattern and compound.

Ah, my bad. Yeah for sure DWS's and DW's are worlds apart.
