540HP C250!!! (yes, this is clickbait)
So there have been A LOT of C43 "AMGs" popping up all over. I've been running into them at least once a day. So it got me thinking...
Now, we've all seen the threads. The ones with all the non-AMGs with AMG badges (along with some non-MBs even, like that "Hyundai CLS550 AMG"). And at some point or another, I'm sure we've joked about slapping a 250 or 300 badge to an AMG just to mess with those that know.
Lol. Well...
Zeus is going C43 hunting.

LOL I did consider it! This is straight from my instagram post, and I was talking about just that with my friend the other day. I mainly chose 250 because it's the lowest denomination in the US market and also the most popular (I generally see a lot more modded 250's than anything else). I see so many 250's and 300's around where I live with AMG badges slapped on them.

... Why do people do this?
Currently making 456/whp and I had someone come up to me on Monday asking me to race because we're closely tied in his C35 AMG. The badges were exactly like that. It looked like an older C350 in this weird tone color. Didn't even bother racing...

To de-badge a top of the line car, which you pay a premium for, to make it seem like an entry level car is... beyond my comprehension. Its like me buying $550 gucci shoes and when I get a compliment I lie and tell people they're fake. Doesn't make sense at all. Usually its the entry level guys who hide the truth. Won't really be mind raping anyone, no respectable person goes after a c250 to race.

This is true though. Even if you've successfully trolled other entry level cars and/or C43s into trying to run you... it's still kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. Not really much to brag about when you kill them. 
But hey, I guess if it amuses you, then have fun.

Seriously it just goes against the natural order of things. "Fake it, till you make it". On the other hand I can see how it might bait people for a run. In my clk 550 everyone and they momma wanted to run it and it was almost an every day thing. Being modded 85% of the times I won. Mostly against camaros, mustangs, chargers, challegers, older vettes, bmw, hondas, other benz, and even a Bentley gt. But with the c63. No bites, ever! Love that pic by the way.

Yes everyone walking or with windows down just turns around and has a WTF look on their faces. Like they can't believe a "luxury" car can sound so savage in stock form.

Well your $550 Gucci shoes are not making you run faster. But a de-badged C63 goes faster than a C250. Besides a de-badged car looks sleeker.
A top of a line car comes with more than just a badge, the badge is just to show everybody look I have a top of the line car. Not everybody likes to show that others do and that is the reason why you see so many non AMG cars with AMG badges on them.
If you value it so much to show what you have then there is something wrong.
