C63 misfire cylinder 1 and 5
Hi I'm new this to this I wouldn't usually, post anything but I've struggled to solve my problem..
i have a c63 amg 2011 cylinder 1 and 5 are misfiring, I have replaced all plugs and coils checked all wiring, everything seems to be fine but yet it still misfiring. I took it to a mechanic he said it might be ecu but not sure, so it's all trial and error at te moment.
Please any advice would be great

thanks for a quick reply, so does that mean faulty o2 sensors don't come up on the scanner...

How do you know it's misfiring? Are you getting fault codes, or are you looking at the Mode 06 data misfire counts? Any modifications on the car? Any work done prior to the misfires starting? Does it misfire when cold, hot, or all the time?
Presuming you're getting actual codes for cylinders 1 and 5, that's interesting as it means both cylinder banks affected - a single bad O2 sensor would likely affect just one bank and it's certainly possible that both bank O2 sensors have gone bad at the same time, just not that likely. Anyway... what do your long and short term fuel trims look like? And have you checked for vacuum leaks (intake manifold and the pipework at the front of the engine)? If all of those check out fine, then an injector problem is possible. A cylinder compression test is also worth doing. Does your mechanic have Star diagnostics?

I have a auto land scanner, the misfire is consistent It throws up codes saying misfire in cylinder 1 and 5... I've also tryed unpluging cylinder 1 and 5 coils while the engine is running and it makes no difference, this happened all of a sudden. The only modification is a resinator and secondary cat delete. I'm not sure what diagnostics tool my mechanic has but he only specialised in Mercedes and bmws.

When my ride had that issue, i changed parks, ignition coils, checked wiring, tune etc.
The dealership were not willing to change the primary O2 because it was not showing up on their scanner either, but... thats the issue with the m156 when the primary 02 fail they start misfiring crazy as it sounds.
You'll have to change the spark plugs anyways because they go foul quickly when this happens.

When I had this issue it ended up being that I had a bad fuel injector that eventually diluted the oil enough that I was having misfires on both banks as well as bending a rod.

These cars run closed loop which is 24/7 feedback from the primary o2 sensors to regulate fuel trims. If these sensors are not functioning or receiving false readings, all kinds of problems will develop.
O2 sensors should be regular maintenance on these cars, especially if you modify them.
