Chrome Delete Vinyl Wrap Costs
I searched the forums and didn't see any clear answers related to the cost for chrome delete vinyl wrap service.
For reference I am in Dallas, TX. I have called some local shops and the estimates range from $450 (wrapped on the car) to $1150 (which I interpreted as "We don't want to do it")
I am only looking at the upper and lower window trim on each side.
Any ideas on what this should cost or a local shop to look into?

I was quoted around $250 for wrapping the window chrome. $20 or so for other smaller chrome pieces. The shop said the window chrome isn't something quick and easy.

Tel them you drive a Honda Accord when you call to ask for the quote. Then tell them your car is a rebadged Mercedes when you show up and they're not expecting you.

Dont bother with the autodip, plastidip, whatever it is for the windows. I tried, even took the top window trim completely off the car to do it, and it just doesnt look good. Vinyl is the way to go for the window trim plus with vinyl you could go gloss black which matches the roof rails and window side panels nicely. Id recommend going gloss black over matte black. i had the matte black to start with, gloss black second time around and its much nicer.

Autodip is not the same as plastidip, let's get that straight haha. Also as long as you do your coats right it looks amazing, most people over spray and don't do the time between coats right. It's just an alternative option if vinyl is too expensive.

Take all the window trim off the car and wrap the pieces then reinstall. Easier, it will look better and last longer.

Thanks,
I did the lower trim on the drivers side. Came out good for the back, not so good for the front.
Does the top trim on the coupe pull straight off? The bottom trim was easy, I will wrap it myself if the top trim comes off easy.
But if someone knows a good shop in Dallas where I can take my grandmas, 2008 C300, that would help.

My 2009 had wrap done by prior owner sometime between '09-'12...it is just starting now to show some specks missing on the top edge of the lower window trim... not enough to warrant a redo yet.

Was about $400 for mine including wrapping the roof+trim, and blacking out the badges.

Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread.
I have decided to go ahead and finish the wrapping myself.
I am also going to invest in some autodip to try on my truck and some other small parts.
BTW - I have been meaning to show this to you guys.
From the dealer, my car had a two bolt license plate frame and every time I closed the trunk it would rattle because the bottom was not bolted down. I wanted a 4 bolt solution and this is what I came up with.
I wrapped the chrome on the trunk with 3M gloss Carbon Fiber wrap, added an eBay CF license plate frame and black anodized bolts.
And Again thanks for the help!!

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
my car was 600 for the chrome around the windows and the door handles plus tint over the rear tails. Underground Graphix in Houston did the work should you ever be down this way.
they did a really clean job - especially on the tails, you can't tell theyre tinted even over the vented area.

Buy this for $50 and you can do it yourself.

I also bought my rear tail light tint from them (clear center overlay).

I think so. Saves you from buying a 1' wide roll and trying to salvage your extras to reuse it... To do trims or thin piece, I think this will work best. The fact that its not too wide, should also allow for some give in the material and make it complient.
