P2540 Ongoing Issue
Hello all, after searching through all the threads about P2540 and not having any luck I figured I would make a post. I have a 2009 C63 AMG that has been plagued with this code. The following has been replaced by Mercedes trying to fix it, Fuel Pumps (Twice), Rail Sensor (Twice), Intake Manifold, Injectors, Vac Lines, All Gaskets (Did while doing head bolts), and gas cap. After all this, code still comes back as pending anytime the car is driven and will occasionally pop on engine light for a few days at a time before going back to pending. Mercedes of Tampa Bay reports fuel pressure seems totally normal while driving and they are equally as stumped. FYI, smoke test has been conducted on intake manifold and zero leaks. It took 3-4 manifolds and installs to accomplish that task, so I'll take that victory at least. So anyone know where I can throw money at next?
