Apple Carplay Box for W204 2012+

I have a friend who put this in his RS7 and it is pretty sweet, I helped him install it. The speaker quality is not as good as stock which we don't know why but he mostly uses it for waze and screen mirroring. I plan to buy it for my 2012 and will update this thread with install and pics. But if anyone else is interested here is the link.

Yea, it's just one of those vent magnet phone holders. Works great for Waze, etc and with an iphone plus, the screen is pert near the same size.

Not for our cars but my friend uses it in his RS7 and other than speaker quality being not as good, it works great. I am purchasing and will update this post with review

Oh wow, I think this is the same brand my friend uses in his RS7 because the interface is the exact same. Thank you for sharing this thread I will reach out to them.

I installed one of these in my 2009. It works great. Almost seamless. Not buggy at all. I have an issue with the microphone picking u a lot of noise but the seller from China is sending me a new one.

Where did you buy your unit?

Do you get to use the car's original mic, or do you get a separate one clipped inside the air vent?

Do you have more information/pictures? I'm looking for one that integrates into the pre-existing screen as I'm not a fan of the big tablet ones.

Here is a picture. I was pleasantly surprised on how good it looks. Always assume the screen just had low resolution.

I thought it looks pretty impressive and integrates very well using the built-in screen + the toggle. Seems like a valid upgrade!

I did get it off AliExpress. Not the same vendor though. Not sure how to post a link, but here is the name:

I had two versions of the 10.25 inch android tablet screens both with a wireless CarPlay dongle. The novelty of having android wore off quickly and the CarPlay implementation was a lot more buggy and inconsistent.

Really happy so far with this, but waiting to see if the microphone noise issue is fixed before I recommend it.

The only way to do that is to manually switch the Bluetooth source on the phone every time you get a call. When using CarPlay the calls automatically default to the Carply mic.

Oh understood! I have ordered mine should arrive any day now so look forward to using it.

Did you install via aux? Any chance you could post your instruction manual so I can see how difficult the install is?
