It seems like the shop did not fully cover the side marker. I painted my myself with black primer and then grey primer over it. No light output at all.

Since I no longer have side markers, this was the direction I was going to go in, but I don't like the idea of the bulbs potentially coming into contact with something in the engine bay and starting a fire. They get darn hot! I grabbed a couple resistors as others suggested in this thread, clipped off the female ends and connected the wires to complete the circuit. Will be installing them tomorrow. Hopefully will solve the issue.

How are you going to seal the connector? The OE bulb holder has a gasket that makes as seal with the marker body so you don't get any gunk/water inside.

Go to Home depot and buy some self bonding electrical tape. Wrap it around the connector to prevent corrosion.

You could modify your old markers (if you still have them) to make a housing for the electronics. Then plug in the "fake" bulb, twist in the connector and tuck it out of the way somewhere with some molding tape.

^ Ya, I was thinking the same after dwelling on it for a bit. I'm just not sure if the body shop still has the original markers. I'll ask.

Hi. Been searching as well. Just to confirm no one is offering a commercial painted marker anymore? I can’t find anyone. This mod is rather popular on the bmw side from which I came so surprising it’s not available for W204!
