Regular 2012 C63 vs 2014 C63 507 , what to expect

Hi all! I'm coming from a 2012 C63 sedan (451hp, no P31 option where I'm from) to a 2014 C63 507 coupe soon. While I enjoy the car very much as the sedan is quite practical, I felt the driving position too high and the seats kind of narrow.

Recently, I found a very fresh 2014 C63 507 coupe with relatively low mileage which is very rare in my area. The coupe's seat seem to fit me much better and I find the coupe better looking yet still relatively low key. The panoramic roof is also a nice bonus and of course the extra 50hp should come in handy during spirited driving although I wasn't able to feel the difference during a test drive as I couldn't speed.

I'm curious, for C63 owners who have experienced the different versions, how do you find the regular C63 vs the 507? Does the coupe drive a little better? What else is there to expect on the 507? I think the center LCD screen has some additional options?

By the way, I have an Akrapovic full titanium exhaust in my old C63 and the 507 seller allowed me to transfer it to the 507.

Currently on a business trip now and looking forward to see the C63 507 when I get back home.

I own a 2012 P31 Coupe (with bolt ons) and have driven a 507 sedan, they're the exact same car. Most differences are cosmetic. Coupe seats are a bit larger and look a lot better though.

I think you will enjoy the upgrade of looks feel and performance.

my wife had a reg 14 c63 when i got my 507 coupe.

i noticed differences in stance, performance, right away.

but you will be able to judge for yourself very soon. Post up your impressions.

you wil enjoy the final special iteration of a great line of cars.

My understanding is he will have 507 hp vs, the 481 in my car with the performance package which I suspect you have as well.

Rumor is that they just lied about outputs and p31 and 507 cars just put up the same numbers on the dyno, doubt you could tell the difference between the P31 and 507, if you had a non p31 non tuned car, you should notice the bump in power and the cosmetic touches are very nice in my book, wheels are better made also.

Are you saying that you would notice the 27 hp difference between a non performance package with 454 hp and the 481 hp of the performance package but not the 26 of the 507 and 481?

No I am saying that the rumor is that claimed outputs were different but both cars make the same power on the dyno, so there is no difference to notice between a P31 and 507 power wise.

Finally did some spirited driving today and I can say that the coupe seats are A LOT more comfortable than the sedan seats. I also like the fact that driver's position seems a bit lower than the sedan's. While I'll miss the 2 extra doors of the sedan, my passengers never complimented the space available to it so I don't think the coupe will be an issue.

Maybe it's just me but the coupe generally feels more refined and sharper than my previous 2012 sedan even though it's also a facelift model. Interior quality has improved quite a bit too with the new steering wheel stalks, sharper looking screen, panoramic sunroof, Alcantara steering wheel, and of course the seats!

My main gripe so far is that I wish the cloth covering the bigger sunroof was thicker to be able to cover sunlight better. Also, I don't know why but the Akrapovic exhaust seemed to sound a little bit better on the 451hp sedan vs my new 507. Not sure if there were internal engine changes that affected the sound output.

Anyway, I did have a 2015 BMW M4 that I sold not long ago and while it was a more modern car, in terms of overall impression, I share the same sentiment as Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe...
